This deck was one of the first decks I built and has become something of a pet deck for me. I have loved playing Mayael the Anima However, recently i have become rather frustrated with the deck as it seems to fold to any sort of interaction from my opponents and I really want to fix that. The original premise was to play a mostly permanents deck and use Primal Surge but that isn't really working. I am stuck and am having a LOT of trouble making cuts and could use some help making the deck more resilient and overall better.

I have a few cards in the deck that have been pretty strong contenders that i have not seen on many other people's Mayael lists:

Arlinn Kord   - Arlinn has overall been very good in the deck as she fills multiple functions in the deck. She serves as a haste enabler, and a wincon with her mini overrun and ultimate.

Thunderfoot Baloth - Thunderfoot has been a very good addition and proven very useful as people become very concerned when they see my already large board become huge with a permanent overrun

Steel Hellkite - This card has been a little bit of a pet card for me and i have a hard time letting go of it. I started in the Scars block and has always been my favorite card with its ability to be a selective wipe against my opponent. It would probably be better as Novablast Wurm but i have a lot of Nostalgia with it.

Magmatic Force - Magmatic force has been a house whenever it hits the board because of his ability to Lightning Bolt during EACH upkeep. This allows me to really shut out a lot of commanders from the game and remove many utility creatures from the board until it gets removed from the board.

Ruric Thar, the Unbowed - This creature has always been AMAZING whenever he hits the board and has always ended up giving me a few wins because so many people can't just stop playing their non-creature spells and before long they have taken 30 damage from him just punching them in the face with his ability.

Myojin of Life's Web and Sneak Attack- The mulligan rule hurt the deck alot and ended up that more often then not if i wanted a decent hand I would also need to keep a few fat creatures in my hand. Throughout the game, I would also end up getting many of my fat pieces into hand and not being able to do much with them. These along with the more traditional Quicksilver Amulet,Elvish Piper, and Scroll Rack have helped in alleviating fat hand syndrome.

Gruul Ragebeast The deck doesn't run as many wipes as it probably should and this creature really helps keep those problem creature pieces off of the board as a Mayael deck is most likely to have the biggest creatures
