Maybeboard


This is a W.I.P EDH Deck

Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle is a unique commander to which can be played from the command zone, and be in a slumber. Whilst in slumber, Ari is Land. You may tap Ari whilst in slumber to add mana: . This works with the creatures and "boardwipes" I have lying under the surface. Most of my creatures will be a mana cost of 4 or higher, and need mana. If you want to be more competitive, there are spells that remove counters E.G Chisei, Heart of Oceans + Clockspinning + Amulet of Vigor + Power Conduit + Timebender (of which I do not own, so will be found in Maybeboard.)

My deck focuses on gaining Flying and +X/+X dealing with flying. (Instants, Sorceries, and Enchantments: Favorable Winds + Cartouche of Knowledge + Arcane Flight + One With the Wind + Archetype of Imagination) Archetype of Imagination can be a DOUBLE-EDGE sword! Beware!!

My deck also focuses on creatures giving flying. (Creatures: Windstorm Drake + Warden of Evos Isle + Trained Condor + Sapphire Drake + Aerial Guide)

Whenever I'm not focused on +X/+X my creatures, I am focusing on my "boardwipes." The only reason Boardwipe is in quotation, is because it isn't a damaging effect to the players, unless they have to mill at the end step with too many cards in their hands. My spells will mostly only take creatures off the field. (e.g. Serpent of Yawning Depths + Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep + Scourge of Fleets + AEtherize)

One more major focus that can also be added to the list of boardwipes, is the Energy Counter focus. What do I mean by that? Well, by drawing Sage of Shaila's Claim + Aetherwind Basker + Dynavolt Tower + Decoction Module I can focus on gaining energy counters to fill Aethersquall Ancient and "boardwipe" constantly and have my play in favour.

In turn, with an army of Flying boosted with counters, and my boardwipes, I figure I'd keep the board clear and kill players off by each of my turns. The constant threat with a flying deck is Plummet + Pierce the Sky + Aerial Volley + Gravity Well + Archetype of Imagination and any creatures with Reach. I'd lose majorly against a Spider deck (Like my deck Slimefoot Arachniphobia.

I would like this deck to be more competitive, but I won't focus on the counter on TappedOut. I play pretty chaotic and rely on luck pretty much. I can end a game in 4 turns, or in 7. Depending on my draws. My Maybeboard is full of cards I may or may not have, and may be decent to focus on more flying, trample, and giving my flyers even reach, haste, or indestructible. My boardwipes don't hurt me to much, as you can read; they only effect non Krakens, Octopus, Serpents, Leviathans, and occasionally Merfolk (which I don't think I have any merfolk I want in this deck.)
