I am not certain what cards are "staples" of the eternal formats, but some of the cards that I would like to see in this set are Absorb, Aura Mutation, Artifact Mutation, AEther Mutation, Backlash, Eladamri's Call, Essence Vortex, Fire Covenant, Recoil, Undermine, Chromatic Lantern, Privileged Position, Cromat, Tsabo Tavoc, Ancient Spider, Dromar, the Banisher, and Sol'kanar the Swamp King, mostly because most of those cards have never been reprinted at all, let alone in the new border style.
As for newer cards, I fully agree that this would be a great place to reprint Damnation, and, with the original dual lands not being eligible for this set, I would like to see either the shocklands or the filterlands in this set. Seedborn Muse would also be very nice, given her current market price and the fact that Prophet of Kruphix is now banned in EDH (as a side note: wow, I just checked the price of the muse, and she has almost tripled in value! Did the banning of the prohpet really affect the demand for her by that much?), and I think that one more printing of Bitterblossom would help to make it more affordable.

DemonDragonJ I don't know, call me a dreamer, but I think they are not going to pack the set with corner case rares. :P
Also I'll be damned if Grove of the Burnwillows and Horizon Canopy don't need a reprint.

Monsmtg, it would be very nice to have those lands reprinted in this set, and I shall add Grand Coliseum and Meteor Crater as two lands that I would like to see, as well.
As long as we are discussing lands, Crucible of Worlds would be excellent to reprint in this set, also (wow, I just checked its price, and it is now worth $65, and I purchased a copy for less then ten dollars when it first was released! What a great investment!).

I haven't read this entire thread, but I do want to point out something that Chas on SCG stated which I quite agree with. They are not going to print Legacy/Modern dual staple cards, or else they won't have anything to get people hyped about in Mod Masters 2017.
That means that Snapcaster Mage and Tarmogoyf are most likely NOT getting a reprint this summer. Liliana of the Veil probably also falls into this list.
Also consider that it's called "Eternal Masters" not "Legacy Masters".
My assumptions for expensive reprints are:

However, it should be noted that this is going to be like MM2. The chase Mythics will hold a lot of value, maybe some of the rares, but the uncommons and commons are going to be 100% junk financially.

No problem. I'd also say Baleful Strix is on the less expensive but probably reprinted list. Oh, and don't forget the ZEN fetches.
To be honest, I only expect about half of what you listed to be reprinted, just for practicality's sake. They aren't going to reprint every single legacy card ever because people will be mad for them reprinting too aggressively.

Nah, I expect Zen fetches to get reprinted in Mod Masters 2017. Could be wrong, but I just don't see why they'd print the Zen fetches in this. It doesn't need the hype. It's already going to sell like hotcakes from Force of Will alone.
I do agree with Baleful though.

Yea but honestly i'd rather the commons and uncommons be full of stuff like Pyroblast and Counterspell and not Hill Giant and Chub Toad. So here's hoping.

That's a very good point on the ZEN fetches. We're inevitably going to get Storm Crow and friends in the commons and uncommons because of draft, but at least the draft environment will hopefully have plenty of older cards so it gets the same eternal feel to it.

I'm interested to see what mana fixing they print... Fetches? - Shocks? - Filters?
Keeping in mind that this is supposed to be draftable... they won't want to use up too many Rare slots with 10+ lands, and they certainly won't want to print Fetches or Shocks at uncommon.
I'm thinking Scars lands. - It was only a cycle of 5, so they can be in the Rare slot without taking up too much development space. - Then they can print some fixing at uncommon for the sake of drafting. (Vivids maybe?)

Akroma's Memorial and Phyrexian Obliterator have both become rather expensive (and I personally believe that the obliterator should have been in Modern Masters 2015 instead of a second reprinting of Dark Confidant), so they would be great in this set.
I also would not object to Gilded Lotus and Thran Dynamo being reprinted, as well, to help keep their prices low and to make them easier to obtain in foil.

I cannot believe that I forgot to mention Swords to Plowshares in this thread! That card is unquestionably a staple of eternal formats, so I fully expect it to be in this set, and hopefully with new artwork, as well.
Also, on the subject of powerful, low-costed white cards, it would be very nice to have Disenchant reprinted in this set, since it has been forgotten in favor of Naturalize in recent years.
