Kresh was the second deck I ever built, and the only Jund commander I've played so far. I didn't have much of a collection when I first built him, so I wanted to see what I could come up with now that I do. I took apart my Meren deck and built this in place of it, so the two lists have some cards in common. But instead of building another reanimator deck, I went for aggro good stuff instead. The deck isn't built too strictly around Kresh himself, but situations can arise in which he gets huge and cracks a skull or two.

How the Deck Wins:

It's an aggro deck, so combat is its plan A. Plan B is playing Kresh and trying to kill enough creatures in a single turn to either make him big enough to kill someone with Fling, Soul's Fire, or Chandra's Ignition, or to trigger Vicious Shadows enough times to kill everyone.

How to Play It:

Ideally, spend the early turns ramping and then start dropping in creatures to go to war with. Beat face with them and/or sacrifice them to various sac outlets to make Kresh big.

Notable Synergies:

• Sneak Attack + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed makes for cheap creatures and easy counters on Kresh.

• If Malignus goes unblocked, targeting him with Berserk will kill the defending player.

• You can hit someone with Kresh or some other big creature, play Soul's Fire to hit them for the same amount of damage again, then drop in Knollspine Dragon and draw twice as many cards as you would have without Soul's Fire.
