On a budget? Use this list as a guide to build your own Kess deck. This is the list I currently use. It works, and it's fun!

Win Conditions are DOOMSDAY combo and ISOCHRON+DRAMATIC REVERSAL combo.

-Doomsday combo revolves around choosing five cards from your current deck and graveyard to create a new deck of five cards that are easy to draw through with Laboratory Maniac on the board. Use cards like Izzet Charm, Thirst for Knowledge, or Gitaxian Probe to draw the rest of your deck, then activate the Laboratory Maniac.

-Isochron Scepter+Dramatic Reversal allows you to cast Dramatic Reversal as long as you have available mana or mana sources. Isochron Scepter, mana rocks, and mana dorks, allowing you to continuously tap for mana, tap the scepter, and continue the cycle over and over indefinitely. If you have Sentinel Tower or Aetherflux Reservoir on the board, every cast of Dramatic Reversal triggers their effects, meaning as much damage and life gain as you wish. If you have enough mana rocks on the board to produce 3 or more mana, you will be able to use two of that mana for the scepter, and let the rest build up to infinity as you want (the more colors available, the better!). Infinite Mana means infinite damage from an Exsanguinate or Comet Storm.

To get to your win conditions, use your instants and sorceries to search through your deck as often as possible by drawing cards or tutoring. Be sure to protect yourself and pace your opponents using counter-spells, board-wipes, and other defensive measures. Kess may re-cast most of these spells from the graveyard, but once Kess is on the board, she will be a prime target. Be ready to flashback what you want the turn you play her! Keep in mind she only plays one spell a turn from the graveyard. However, this opens up opportunities otherwise unavailable. Final Parting, for instance, requires you send a card to the graveyard, but Kess can still allow you to play it if it is an instant or sorcery. Increasing Ambition's Flashback effect works if you play it with Kess's ability instead of the Flashback, so you can get a discount. Look for other benefits like these!

Make any changes you see fit based on what cards are available to you and what would work against your playgroup. Mystic Remora is turning out to not work well with my particular playgroup (and in fact I replaced it with Gush), since they play a lot of creatures, and not many mana rocks or other non-creature spells, but maybe it would work for you! Not all these cards are necessary, either. Flooded Strand, for instance, can only search for a few lands from this list, and is otherwise not very budget-friendly. Some of these counter-spells are expensive, as well, as good as they are. Consider the general purpose of each piece, and find your own cards to fit in! If you don't have a Flusterstorm, perhaps a negate will work to protect your Doomsday combo. Perhaps add Brainstorm or Think Twice. Have fun with it!

All in all, I am putting this here as a list for myself for whenever I look to re-build this deck if and when I dismantle it, but I hope someone else can get some value form it!
