A big pile good cards without a central theme. The deck generally seeks to generate value and effectively answer threats.

Wincons:

No infinite combos because I'm trying to play EDH as a casual format where I can actually make friends. The goal is for the deck to be powerful and efficient, but not degenerate. Rather than just tutoring for the same combo every game, I want my wincons to be flexible and dynamic. The gameplay style is "I'll just make a bunch of value, and then just play some strong cards and see if I get there". "Also, play answers so I don't just immediately lose",

  • Mystical Tutor -> Entreat The Angels (or just topdeck it late game, lol)
  • Avenger of Zendikar. It basically gets there eventually if nobody answers it. Gets stronger with Elesh Norn, Gavony Township
  • Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Same as Avenger, they need to answer it or it eventually gets there.
  • Luminarch Ascension. Busted on turn two. Can be easy to trigger with board wipe -> Ascension
  • Rite of Replication on some big dumb creature
  • Bribery. Grab somebody's big dumb creature
  • Jenera. Late game mana-sink that can punch really hard if you don't have any better options.
