Wayfarer's Bauble kicks the shit out of Dimir Keyrune and Dimir Cluestone

this deck looks great, some cards i would add are Ornithopter, Gudul Lurker, Scroll Rack, Augury Owl, Dimir Keyrune,Discovery / Dispersal, and Aqueous Form

heres my reasoning, Ornithopter and Gudul Lurker are more low cost drops to get yuriko out quicker, and with Ornithopter you can drop it with no cost to you.

Scroll Rack may be pricy but stacks your deck very well to deal as much damage as possible with yuriko

Augury Owl allows you to scry and stack the top of your library, you can swap out Baleful Strix for it, you have tons of card draw when yuriko triggers

Dimir Keyrune lets you have a mana rock and a possible creature to ninjitsu yuriko in, can be swapped with Dimir Signet

Discovery / Dispersal is another way to stack your deck, and give you better chances to deal more damage

Aqueous Form can be swapped with Smoke Shroud, Smoke Shroud doesnt allow tetsukos ability work if you give yuriko +1/+1, but Aqueous Form lets you have another unblockable ninja, especially if it's power is higher than one

Hey, looks good. Nice stax build especially if it's your first one, but you forgot Sol Ring :)

I think if you're willing to build the manabase around Back to Basics that you should include tutors to get Basics. Otherwise you're playing a worse manabase for the rare chance that you draw Basics.

Land Tax is excellent to make sure you have the basic land type that you need which is especially good with Back to Basics . Adding Tax could also let you add the three Shock lands to the manabase to give you a little more color fixing. Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora are pretty much staple blue draw engines for multiplayer Commander. Token generators: Luminarch Ascension , Bitterblossom and Elspeth, Knight-Errant can be a win conditions. You have life gain to cover Bitter and Ascension looks at each opponent meaning it can be activated quickly. Liliana of the Veil can also be a win condition. Planeswalkers since they give you repeatable value without needing to use mana or tap lands are good with Stasis . Narset, Parter of Veils , Teferi, Time Raveler and Ashiok, Dream Render have powerful static abilities in multiplayer Commander.

Creeping Tar Pit , Dimir Keyrune and Elspeth's +1 can get around Humility letting the creature attack not as a 1/1, but better with flying or unblockable. Cursed Totem is powerful when it doesn't effect you at all since none of the creatures here have an activated ability. Many have triggered abilities, but those aren't affected by Totem.

Cards to consider cutting:

  • Ambition's Cost
  • Concentrate
  • Syphon Mind
  • Spelltithe Enforcer
  • Time Stop
  • Leyline of the Void
  • Fortune's Favor
  • Fact or Fiction
  • Mindlock Orb
  • Fatespinner

Cards upgrades to consider:

If I spend the mana to make Dimir Keyrune a creature until end of turn, and then encode a card with cipher onto it, what happens to the cipher card when Dimir Keyrune ceases to be a creature?

Hey, nice looking deck! I noticed you helped me out a bit with my take on Yuriko (Yuriko WiP) and I wanted to leave some feedback on your list in return.

For starters, I would highly recommend Gurmag Swiftwing . Having evasive creatures with haste is a fantastic way to get the ball rolling again after a board wipe, and the only card I could find that does it better is Nether Traitor which currently runs for about 15 bucks. This one's only 20 cents! Wharf Infiltrator is also pretty nice (although not hasty), and combos very nicely with your plan revolving around Library of Leng .

I'm not too sold on Mana Leak in EDH in general, especially in a list that wants to be throwing out a bunch of creatures early and not really wanting to pass turn 2 without some type of creature out. As a replacement, I would suggest adding in a few more 3-drops, as that slot is looking pretty light for how many awesome cards you can put in there. From evasive creatures such as Neurok Invisimancer or Shadowmage Infiltrator to some value generators like Thada Adel, Acquisitor and even a way to directly tutor out your Arcane Adaptation through Perplex , there's a lot of options that can go in the 3 slot to make sure your curve never lets up. One of my personal favorites that I'm trying to find a spot to fit into my own list is Quietus Spike , which can quickly close out a game with all of your evasive creatures. Dimir Keyrune I feel also deserves a spot as a mana rock that you use in the early game that transitions into a near-guaranteed proc for Yuriko whenever she dies in the late game.

Another recommendation I have that also helps to keep the cost down is throwing in Liliana Vess over Diabolic Tutor . This is not only cheaper, but also has a stronger proc off of Yuriko as well as giving a continuous source of tutor-to-the-top effects to hopefully keep slapping your opponent for 8-10 damage a turn. Her +1 is also pretty nice if you're trying to hate out a specific player, and her ultimate is game-winning if the match goes on long enough.

Another fun card that I'm in the process of testing out is Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker I'm not sure how valuable it is to bring back all your little guys if they get removed, but it could help with blocking if you needed to chump out some larger threats.

For landbase, I think that a Rogue's Passage could help in times where there's no safe time to swing in with some of your ninjas, and still functions just fine as a land when you don't want to pay 4 mana for something like that. Halimar Depths has good synergy with all of the top manipulation in this style of deck, and is definitely on the cheaper side of nonbasic lands. This is similarly true for Temple of Deceit and Path of Ancestry , but those are a little bit pricier. Lastly, Faerie Conclave can provide an evasive creature for your ninjas in a pinch, and you don't lose much for including it either.

Hope you find success in your matches!

Based on my own experience in multi-player format I can say that you definitely need more board wipes: Damnation , Languish , Ritual of Soot , Cyclonic Rift (one of my favorite), Evacuation , Toxic Deluge or Black Sun's Zenith (to deal with indestructible creatures) etc. The choice depends on your meta. You also need tutors: Vampiric Tutor , Demonic Tutor , Diabolic Tutor etc. Dimir Signet , Dimir Keyrune - for mana stabilizing. I recommend to take out Unmoored Ego - it seems useless in EDH. Some ideas for card draw: Phyrexian Arena (classic!), Necropotence (a great card believe me), Twilight Prophet (I'm crazy about this card in Standard and I think it has a great potential in EDH), Doom Whisperer (another great card from Guilds of Ravnica). Good luck in brewing!

Hmm, I think I'd swap out 2 Hero's Downfall and 2 Dimir Keyrunefor it. I thought on some other changes I might make to the deck. Curious Obsession might be nice in place of Curiosity for those times you don't have an Inkfathom Witch. Also maybe 2 Hands of Binding for 2 Hidden Strings?

TheSurgeon Whoops, I just noticed your first comment. Was wondering where those other suggestions came from. xD

I actually used to run Creeping Tar Pit in this, but I found myself largely unable to keep up with maintaining a good speed and regularly paying the 3 mana it took to activate the thing, so I went with the Dimir Keyrune which is a little bit more manageable long term.

Bident of Thassa is great, but I think it’s all just a little extra. I don’t find myself really needing more draw with this set up, so I don’t think I should pay the extra cost for it.

Once again, thank you for being so helpful!!
