I made a similar deck in the past, so I'll link it here: Devotion to Ula's Whales
I chose to have a few more devotion creatures than you so Nykthos would be more consistent (because it's a very good backup). As Darth_Savage said, your deck doesn't have much in the way of early game interaction. I would suggest playing cards like Harbinger of the Tides and Merfolk Trickster since they give good devotion and can help you stall for that extra turn you need to go off. Other than that, I found Grozoth to be the best card to play off of the Quest. It makes sure you have the fatties to overwhelm your opponent with after you get the Quest to 3 counters while decreasing the chances of getting flooded with uncastable things when you don't need them (since you can play fewer of them).

When I saw this deck I was pretty intrigued, especially since I love big blue creatures ( Stormtide Leviathan was my first rare from 2013 core set back when I joined). I was inspired to quickly come up with my own version: Ula's Temple. One recommendation I have is Dizzy Spell ; it acts as an additional copy of quest for ula's temple, plus it can also find clockspinning and shrink a creature in a pinch. I tried to use creatures like Judge's Familiar as disruption instead of instants to help my chances with Ula's temple; plus, without the need to leave mana open, it makes more sense to run Contentious Plan instead of Steady Progress . Grozoth will let you tutor for multiple inkwell leviathans, which would be pretty devastating. Also, Street Wraith would up your creature count and thin out your deck.

This is really cool! Looks like a solid list to me. Lands like Cinder Glade and Canopy Vista might be useful since they are forests but make a second color. Same with Breeding Pool , Stomping Ground , Overgrown Tomb , and Temple Garden , though they are pricey. These might interest you too: Eladamri's Call , Elvish Piper , Temur Ascendancy , Grozoth , Shared Summons

chromiumthemutable Thanks for your suggestions. They could be useful for generic Yennett decks but are not suitable for my deck for the following reasons:
1) This is a creatureless deck, and being creatureless is a key component of my combo. So running Grozoth , Thopter Assembly or any other creatures for that matter, is certainly not within my considerations.
2) I'm currently only running one 9 CMC spell in the deck (i.e. Expropriate ) and in order to synergize with Yennett's ability, we would want to tutor/manipulate the card to the top of the library, and not tutor into my hand.
3) The 9 CMC cards you suggested are fun cards but don't fit the theme of the deck. Sphinx of the Steel Wind is 8 CMC though.
I invite you to go through my Primer to gain a better understanding of the deck concept. I'd love to hear your suggestions thereafter! Looking forward to them. Cheers!

I suggest Grozoth to tutor all your 9-cmc cards, and if you are looking for more cards to put your hand on top of your library, maybe add an Aminatou, the Fateshifter . Some more 9-cmc cards to get with Grozoth are Heroes Remembered , Clone Wars, and Sphinx of the Steel Wind . For some reason, I've always liked the Thopter Assembly / Time Sieve combo because infinite turns- whether or not you have to pay an upkeep cost of - is fine with me.

This is ridiculous.
Not playing Grozoth with this many 9-drops seems like a mistake.

Maybe adding in Tooth and Nail ? It's a pretty awesome card with or without Jodah and can get you cards like Composite Golem and Grozoth to easily finish the combo if you already have Jodah out. Even without him, there's still a lot of minions you can chose from, like The Ur-Dragon and Dragonlord Kolaghan . It's just such a good value card that I like to use in any goodstuff deck.
