About the deck

Green-white is my favourite colour combination - It has the benefits of removal in white and ramp/card draw in green, with awesome threats to boot! Since I got into commander, I've always had some kind of G/W deck:

1. First, there was Emmara Tandris, which (much like the commander herself) was a really bad deck, just absolutely awful trash

2. Then came Trostani, which was a bit better, but not by much

3. Then the first iteration of Rhys, which was pretty alright, but nothing special

4. This then transformed into Marath, which was pretty good, but heavily geared towards combo wins.

5. Since then, I found that Marath (and combo strategies in general) got me a pretty poor reputation among the communities I was in, so I thought I would string together my old GW tokens deck, helmed by Rhys the Redeemed , with a few major improvements.

Over time I have added and removed many cards, but I believe I have gotten it to a point where I quite like the contents of it as-is (although if there's anything I'd add, it'd be more card draw), and I'm proud of it enough to try and get some of the cards foiled/altered out.

Removed cards

• Sandwurm Convergence

  A very high cost card, but still good. Unsure whether it's a permanent removal or not

• Spawnwrithe

  Rather slow

• Shamanic Revelation

  Swapped for Camaraderie

• Bow of Nylea

  I feel like it hasn't given me too much utility overall, where I could instead have another token producer

• Collective Blessing

  I adore this card, and I think it's severely underrated, but people began to cotton on to me winning off of it

• Giant Adephage

  A fun card, but very slow

• Huatli, Radiant Champion

  Huatli doesn't really do anything if I have no creatures, nor did it help me get any creatures out

• Grove of the Guardian

  Swapped with Horizon Canopy for some extra card draw

• Trostani, Selesnya's Voice

  Now helming a second GW tokens deck

• Darien, King of Kjeldor

  Taken out to put in aforementioned Trostani, Selesnya's Voice deck

• Windbrisk Heights

  It ended up being a bit too slow, and I have a friend who plays land destruction :P

• Khalni Garden

  Coming in tapped and not producing two colours is just too slow for this deck

• Mobilization

  Switched for Dawn of Hope

• Fell the Mighty

  Oddly this card felt like it didn't end up destroying enough of other people's creatures... maybe I just play in a token-heavy meta!

• Emeria Angel

  It was such a feel-bad when there were no lands coming up, so I decided to switch to a mana-sink i.e. Heliod, God of the Sun

• Imperious Perfect

  Only producing one token at a time was not ideal, so I switched it for Nemata, Grove Guardian

• Empyrial Storm

  Was very expensive, despite being super cool. Might be another include for later.

• Broken Bond

  Removed for Force of Vigor

• Sundering Growth

  Removed for a pretty Krosan Grip , as the proliferate clause never came up quite as much as I wanted it to
