This is a major overhaul to my prior Narset prison build. I love enchantment-based decks, and getting to run the Opalescence/Wave combo gave me pleasant flashbacks to Standards I played back in the old days. I loved that deck, but there was always an awful tension between artifacts and enchantments in that deck because, at the end of the day, artifacts are a better "tribe" in EDH. They're better cards, with better support cards behind them. Better tutoring options, better recursion, and your lock pieces are more versatile.

Besides, I'd never actually built an artifact-centric EDH deck, so this would be new ground for me.

This is the result.

Some notes:

Decree of Silence is currently in because I want one consistent haymaker to search off of Enlightened-Tutor-With-Narset-Trigger-On-The-Stack. Mystical Tutor has Time Stretch in that slot, but it's really hard to find a Narset-castable E-Tutor target with an equal potential to just slam the door.

Thopter Spy Network is very much in testing. It's obviously super-slow, but we're a slow deck. We'll always get the Thopter, and we'll probably start drawing cards when the Thopter starts attacking. Atop that, the Thopters sac to Welder/Daretti, chump for our walkers, let us tick Smokestack up horribly high, tap to Tangle Wire and basically seem surprisingly decent. But doing ten things marginally well still might not be enough flexibility.

If the deck looks like it has no win-cons, you're right. I think there's a literal cap on the maximum amount of damage I can swing for. You win by concession, and use the slots that would have been spent on "creatures" who "deal damage" to increase the efficiency of your control plan.
