So some people in my local college started really getting into EDH and I hated it for the longest time (mainly because no one wanted to play casual anymore), but eventually decided I should get a deck. I thought to myself, "I've never made a mono-white deck before." Everyone in my play group uses multicolored commanders so, I figured I'd be that guy in the group.

After looking through lots of decks to test, I found jwe94's tribal soldier deck, deck:the-proper-tactics-mean-everything, and I HAD to have it! I built it completely based on his specifications and have been making minor tweaks to it so it fits my playgroup's style. The main purpose is Odric, Master Tactician swinging with soldiers and triggering his ability to take down creatures I don't like or flying past defenses to deal commander/combat damage built up from anthems. Vigilance is this decks best friend. No combos aside from Extraplanar Lens + Snow-Covered Plains . I'm looking to make it a lot different, even if it means adding in a few non-soldiers to break the theme.

My playgroup loves to kill quick, so I'm looking to make this have more elements of control and protection because my group absolutely LOVES infinite combos and dropping game winners early-mid game. This decks main problem, from playing in my group, is other tribal decks or whenever someone targets me (which when you get the kind of field presence this deck aims to get out, happens quite a lot).

I'm open to any and all suggestions and would prefer you also say what you would take out if you can. Most games end with either a board wipe saved just for me or counters stopping just about anything I want to happen.
