Some edits to make the deck a little faster

Avarice Amulet is just making the deck too slow, and Sage's Reverie Does not need to be a 4- of.

De-Bobing
Monduck, 10 years ago
-4x Dark Confidant +2x Night's Whisper +1x Butcher of the Horde +1x Elspeth, Knight Errant Bob's been slouching; with the huge amount of aggro around, esp burn, he's a liability G1 too often, and in general every awkward hand I've every had (aside from mana issues) had involved drawing too many bobs. In general, I'd always rather draw a Young Pyromancer. Night's Whisper helps to replace the card advantage Bob gives, usually for less life overall, more reliably, all at once, and in a way that triggers Pyros and Mentors. Butcher has been performing very well; he's a fast clock, has good play with tokens, is hard to remove, and can play defense too to gain back a lot of life quickly. With bob gone, there's no more concerns about adding another 4-drop; guy's a solid closer. Elspeth is coming in to help out against matchups that tend to have easy answers to our threats, that tend to go long. Those decks often tend to be the same decks that have a very hard time dealing with walkers, and Elspeth in particular. She also isn't vulnerable to Celestial Purge like Lilly and Ajani, though I've strongly considered Ajani in this spot instead. If mana's every an issue that may be what happens. Another GREAT benefit to the de-bobing is the ~$200 price drop for the deck. Never hurts. If I could find room for it I might try the list with +1 Land & +1 Thundermaw Hellkite. ps- Also giving Timely Reinforcements a shot in the SB
Wednesday Win-A-Box Standard Tournament

First time playing the deck and practice was clearly needed. The local meta is extremely mono-red heavy and the other half runs along control. So far I like Foul-Tongue Invocation better than the Rams. Debating finding a place for Utter End to take care of Vaults and Enchantments that get through.
Note I was only running 2 Dragonlord Ojutai. Icefall Regents replaced him, Silumgar, the Drifting Death, and Dig Through Time. I was also running Jace's Ingenuity instead of Anticipate. In sideboard I was running a Duress instead of Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver. And two Flooded Strands as opposed to the Temple of Enlightenment.
Went 1-3
Ensoul Artifact
Game 1: Absolutely stomped them. I had Ojutai out turn 5 and kept the board clean with Ultimate Price and Bile Blight. Saved my counters for the Ensouls.
Game 2: He went off strong early, and I just didn't have the draw early enough to compensate. Close game, but he got it when I made a major player error. Played a Silumgar on turn 6 and tapped out instead of just staying untapped with a hard counter when there were no creatures on the field.
Game 3: Once again, just swept him off the table.
Pure Mono-red
Game 1: Pretty close game, considering. He had beautiful top decks, however. Solid win for him.
Game 2: Mulled down to four (ouch!). Drew nothing but land. The end.
Red splash Atarka
Game 1: Got torn apart. Had Jace's in hand, but not enough answers. This match made me really want anticipate. By the time turn 5 rolled around, all I had was an Icefall and a Jace in hand. Icefalls just die to strikes.
Game 2: Got out a Silumgar and locked down the board. Easy win from there.
Game 3: Too many Icefalls, not enough drowns which made me decide on pulling them entirely. I think they'll be better if the meta shifts, but they are all but useless against mono-red compared to Ojutai or Silumgar.
Red splash Atarka
Game 1: Yeah, this matchup is bad for me. Icefalls are almost useless against mono-red the movie.
Game 2: Really close. They had one card in hand and I was at 2 life. I had a drown on the top of my deck and a Scorn in hand. They had two creatures on field; I had Ojutai. They top-decked a Stoke, and the card in hand was a Monastery Swiftspear.

The response from this one has been pretty awesome and some great lists and suggestions have been shared. We've tried to lean up the main 60 by grounding the spells more to further lean up the mana requirements. Out goes ScOoze in goes Tasigur, Clique, and Snapcaster. Out goes Sleight of Hand and in goes some Spell Snare. Pact gets moved to the sideboard for a main Murderous Cut. Testing will continue!

Dragons of Tarkir Update

Not much, just adapting to the new set. Jackal Pup and Firedrinker Satyr are embarrassingly bad and I think both Zurgo Bellstriker and Lightning Berserker deserve a shot. Still kind of up in the air as far as Dragon Whisperer is concerned, but maybe it's good. I am going to try it over Satyr Firedancer and move the Firedancer to the sideboard for now, cutting Harness by Force which doesn't quite seem powerful enough.
*In:
Out:
- Harness by Force
- Firedrinker Satyr
- Jackal Pup
- Satyr Firedancer is moved to the sideboard

VS Melee deck. (2-0).
Deck based on blockers and these two gods Thassa, God of the Sea and Phenax, God of Deception.
Here is where Den Protector made the night ^^, none of his blockers was able to block Den Protector, not even the gods when them becomes to a creatures.
VS Mono Black. (2-1).
Alot of Duress and Despise, hardly to win but at those kind of duels you can see the value of your sideboard. The first one was a nightmare, i almost win but after all an aggro deck made too much damage to deal with. Winds of Qal Sisma made me able to win the second where the mono black goes all in with his attacking creatures, just let pass all of them, without creatures to block my dudes had no problem to deal 19 damage that turn to win. In the 3rd End Hostilities thats what happened ^^.
VS Mono Green Devotion. (2-1).
Its so funny to see your opponent's face when you clear the board he was building with all his mana ramp, so yes End Hostilities saved my butt again ^^, Avatar of the Resolute smashed the opponent after been saved from the Ends Hostilities with the Valorous Stance.
Conclutions
I'm thinking to add one more Den Protector and maybe replace Daghatar the Adamant with Tuskguard Captain.

Major Changes
Spinifex, 10 years ago
After Popalofiti's advice, I've checked if running Athreos, God of Passage made sense... and it does indeed. This has led me to make various changes in the deck, which has become more of a BW Warrior deck splashing red for Crackling Doom and Butcher of the Horde.
Basically, I'm running Bloodsoaked Champion as an early and recurring one-drop, with both Chief of the Edge and Chief of the Scale as warrior lords and as devotion enablers. Battle Brawler and Seeker of the Way as the best 2-drop warriors (IMHO of course) and Arashin Foremost to grant double strike to my other warriors.
I will be using 2 copies of Athreos, God of Passage since that's what I could get my hands on. However, I think the right number is 3. I'm substituting a Godsend for now.
The mana base could be improved by the addition of a few Battlefield Forge but I won't be buying any at the moment. The sideboard will be remade, to allow us to go aggro-control if need be.

Trying something a little different. Mitigating life-loss from DC and cutting Olivia to keep the cmc closer to the ground while adding threats with incidental life-gain. Added a play set of Nighthawk. Can wreak havoc w/ the sword too.
-1 Slaughter Pact -1 Dark Confidant -2 Olivia Voldaren

Replacement

I switched out Scorned Villager Flip for Whisperer of the Wilds. I think I'll be able to utilize Whisperer of the Wilds' ferocious ability a lot easier than flipping Scorned Villager Flip and keeping her flipped.
I'm still considering Elspeth, Knight-Errant. I'm going to do some tests online, maybe even acquire her. There's a Modern Masters copy down at my local card shop that I want.
