Avenger of Zendikar- A big fatty that creates tokens that we can then use for fodder with cards like
Attrition or
Natural Order and creates an army for
Craterhoof Behemoth.
Butcher of Malakir - Much like Grave Pact, helps us control the field and can attack.
Caustic Caterpillar - This little guy is a great card to fuel Meren. It can sac itself in the early game to get rid of pesky artifacts and enchantments and Meren can constantly get it back to the battlefield. you can easily add 2 experiance counters per turn with it.
Craterhoof Behemoth - A game finisher. We amass a lot of tokens and creatures on the field and Craterhoof behemoth can easily make those creatures 5/5s or 10/10s to swing for game.
Creakwood Liege - This is one of our recurring token engines. This gives us a free creature to sac each turn and it also pumps our creatures as well.
Deathrite Shaman - A required card for any golgari deck. Its so versatile in its abilities and can control an opponents graveyard like a champ.
Dimir House Guard - This is a free sac outlet and can also be transmuted for cards like Grave Pact, Oracle of Mul Daya, or Solemn Simulacrum. Just a good card to have.
Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder - This card can give us a lot of creatures really fast. This is great with cards like Ashnod's Altar, Attrition, Skullclamp. Since we sac so many creatures each turn, 9 out of 10 times he will never sac himself. But if he does, thats another sac for Meren.
Eternal Witness - Helps us get key cards from our graveyard back to our hand. Great synergy with Meren of Clan Nel Toth.
Farhaven Elf - Helps us ramp and if we have a sac outlet on the field, we can sac, get an experiance counter, and bring it back at the end of the turn with meren for a second land!
Fauna Shaman - Helps fuel our graveyard and tutor for creatures.
Fleshbag Marauder - Absolutely wondferful synergy with Meren. Usually this is a 2 creature kill spell. Play it and sac itslef, give us an experiance counter, bring it back at the end of the turn and do it again. Best feeling in the world haha!!
Grave Titan - Is another big fatty that creates tokens to use for fodder. It hits hard too.
Grim Haruspex - Helps us draw cards. Its not unheard of to draw 3 cards a turn with it.
Harvester of Souls - Same as Grim Haruspex but bigger.
Merciless Executioner - Same as Fleshbag Marauder.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed - Provides infinite sacrefice for cards like Triskelion and Woodfall Primus. Cannot let you how many times I have Buried Alive these cards then used Ever After to win the game.
Ophiomancer - Another tokeon generator that creates a deathtoucher too.
Oracle of Mul Daya - A green card staple that helps us ramp.
Reclamation Sage - Great little card to take card of artifacts and enchantments that can be recurred with Meren.
Rune-Scarred Demon- A heavy hitter that tutors for a card in our deck. Its even better to cast it, sac it, then get it again on the field with Meren.
Sadistic Hypnotist - A great sac outlet that gives us hand control. With so many tokens for us to sac, we can easily get rid of everyone's hand at the table.
Sakura-Tribe Elder - A creature that sacs itself, which helps Meren, and gets us a land to the battlefield. Recur with Meren to get 2 lands and 2 experiance counters.
Satyr Wayfinder - Helps fuel our graveyard for Meren, and gets a land to our hand.
Scavenging Ooze - Another green card staple. Wonderful card to work with when our opponent's sac creatures with Grave Pact. We empty there graveyard and make the Ooze big, sounds good to me!
Sheoldred, Whispering One - Ah Sheolred, does she even need a reason to be in a black deck? Gets one of our creaturs back and kills one of theres. A swampwalk 6/6 is the icing on the cake.

- A kill spell that also fuels Meren. Wonderful synergy and spot removal make this card a necessity for the deck.
Sidisi, Undead Vizier - Much like Fleshbag or the Executioner, Sidisi can be cast, sac itself to tutor, get an experiance counter, and bring it back at the end of the turn to do the same thing again. 2 experaince counters and tutor twice. Why the heck not!!
Smothering Abomination - One of the very few flyers in the deck that is also a sac outlet and a draw spell.
Solemn Simulacrum - An EDH staple and is only made better becuase it is just begging to be saced.
Spore Frog - Want to Stop anyone from attacking you? Use a recurring Fog and that stops everyone from attacking you. In 1v1 games it stops them completely.
Triskelion - It can sac itself if need be and is the other combo piece for Mikaeus, the Unhallowed
Viscera Seer - Another Free sac outlet that lets us scry.
Woodfall Primus - Can be used for spot removal and is another combo piece for Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.
Wurmcoil Engine - Wurmcoil is one of my favorite cards ever. I started playing in the Scars block and when I first saw him I knew I would always want to play him. In this deck he's a finisher and creates tokens for sac outlets.
