It’s pretty simple, actually. Here’s the plan:

1 - Swear ultimate fealty to The Scorpion God

2 - Use Infect and Poison to give opponents tons of poison counters, to kill them

3 - Use Sorceries and Wither to give opponents’ creatures tons of -1/-1 counters, to kill them

4 — Use Proliferation to make tons more of said counters

5 - Draw tons of cards from the -1/-1 counters so you can make more of said counters

6 - Win at Magic!

The Scorpion God returns to its owner’s hand the end step after it dies, meaning you will only need to cast it from the command zone once (However, this also makes cards like Path of Ancestry less useful.

Infect creatures are the bread and butter of this deck, dealing both -1/-1 and poison counters. The real use of dealing wither damage to creatures will be surviving long enough to get 10 poison counters onto each opponent, as well as accelerating card draw and diminishing potential blockers.

Certain cards, such as Midnight Banchee, Kulrath Knight, Hand of the Praetors, Carnifex Demon, Necroskitter, Corrosive Mentor, Crumbling Ashes, Soul-Scar Mage, and Blowfly Infestation are absolutely pivotal in this deck’s strategies.

There are also some great combos included, most notably Exquisite Blood + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose , Blowfly Infestation + Nest of Scarabs + The Scorpion God , Library of Leng + Venser's Journal and Mahadi, Emporium Master + Revel in Riches .

I’m still trimming the deck down, and will probably have added new ones before all’s said and done (too many good cards!) but I’ll get there eventually. Feel free to give suggestions on strategies, good cards to include, or potential problems with the deck.
