It doesn’t have infect, but it might be worth considering Midnight Banshee, since you’re in mono-black and are looking to clear the field. Definitely works along with the -1/-1 counter cards too.

Does Generous Patron trigger when a creature I control with Wither or Infect deals damage to an opponent's creature? What about the effect of Midnight Banshee?

You only have eight actual cards that put -1/-1 counters on things, and nine other cards that depend on -1/-1 counters in order to do anything. In deck construction terms, it really seems like you have way too many "payoffs" for the amount of "enablers". I'd suggest adding some combination of Grim Affliction, Skinrender, Banewhip Punisher, and Midnight Banshee.

Profet93: Heya! With some testing, I can say the following:

Culling Ritual needs to go back in. It's just too good. I was scared off because it blows up most of my combo pieces, but I think I'll just have to sequence my play better ;)

Rushed Rebirth is bonkers here, honestly. Just amazing every time.

Grim Hireling has been awesome, he almost always makes his mana back immediately. I expect to get 6 Treasures per turn with him.

Smell Fear usually gives me an extra snake or two plus trading a snake for something. It's been decent so far!

I'm tuning this deck back into a proper cEDH form soon, so we'll see where it goes :) Contamination and a couple more stax pieces back in? Going a little closer to Poisonball.

skeletonkey8: Hmmm. Just too easy to counter with spot removal, honestly? And there's too much exiling removal around, and I don't run many sac outlets. I'm not sure it'll be as good as I wish it were. Still, could try it over Survival of the Fittest perhaps.

KrarkTheAngryBoi: I tested that years ago, actually. It just was WAY too slow, and wiped my snakes every turn, and eventually killed Hapatra, leaving me with nothing. I wasn't a huge fan. Midnight Banshee was better, but still got cut :(

+1 for a great deckname and Shrouded Lore is a great find.

Possible adds: throw in Midnight Banshee to chip away at the board, Contamination to cripple manabases, and perhaps Ayara, First of Locthwain for the added extortion/draw (not to mention another 3 black mana pips for devotion). Phyrexian Reclamation to recover any dead buddies, and to give your Reiver Demon another chance to blow the board up. Pestilence to just bone everyone since Erebos, God of the Dead is indestructible, as long as your devotion is at 5 you can wipe the board and keep Pestilence around - you'll be at 3 devotion with Pestilence and Erebos anyway so it shouldn't be too tough.
