Imodane, the Pyrohammer… this commander is enough for me to look at mono red. The whole idea behind this deck is to keep cards in your hand, have bursts of mana to play them, and hopefully draw into your damage spells. Purposely, I kept the creatures at a minimum in this deck. I’m hoping to not appear as a huge threat until it’s too late. Always assume Imodane will be instantly targeted for removal so protection is key. Without her this deck falls flat on its face. Use cards like Mithril Cloak and Swiftfoot Boots to keep her around. So far, my favorite play tests include casting Arcane Bombardment. The only thing I’m struggling with when playing this deck so far is not having enough burn spells! Will be revising over the course of the coming weeks to balance it a bit more!
