Enchantment (1)

Maybeboard

Name.

Current Win-Cons

  1. Eye of the Storm/Thousand Year Storm interaction into Aetherflux/Ral, Storm Conduit/Lightning Bolt, Grapeshot, Brain Freeze (with Rest in Peace on Board preferably).

Note: For further elaboration on how the interaction works, go to https://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/magic-rulings/807115-eye-of-the-storm-is-insane (apologies for the lack of hyperlink - Tappedout text formatting yikers) and look for the comment made by peteroupc. They breaks down the interaction step by step, including the passing of priority and how to properly stack the triggers, as it is one of the core ways that the deck "storms" out.

  1. Rest in Peace/Helm of Obedience
  2. Infinite colorless mana via Basalt/Rings for Urza, if colored mana is necessary for any reason, Gemstone Array is in the deck to filter it. This is used, along with 4) to circle back into either 1) or 2)
  3. Omniscience/Enter the Infinite into 1), 2), or 3). Can be done as early as turn 2 with Dream Halls and a phenomenal hand. (2 Island, Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Dream Halls, Enter the Infinite, and random blue card is an example.
  4. Elsha commander damage using Lightning Greaves and any of the spell stacking components. While not likely to ever come up, it is in the deck as it requires only the inclusion of Lightning Greaves.

Secondary Set-up Elements

  1. Control Shell - basic stuff here. Counterspell package and a copy of Propaganda to help slow down the aggro decks.
  2. Lock-out/Anti-cheat - Following up on the Control Shell are small inclusions like Teferi, Time Raveler, Narset, Parter of Veils and Transcendent and Lavinia, Azorius Renegade.
  3. Mana Engine - Basalt/Rings (I might make adjustments to fit others later. Currently avoiding Peregrine/Palinchron with Deadeye, but can always fit it later if I think the deck needs the additional engine.) and Gemstone Array to fix the mana once the combo goes off.
  4. Scry/Draw Shell - standard package of Snap, Ponder, Preordain, Serum, Rhystic, Remora, and more. Also using Divining Top and Scroll Rack to manipulate which cards reside on the top of the deck to maximize Elsha's potential when she is on the board.
  5. Artifact Sub-shell - While the deck is not Artifact Storm, relying on Dramatic Reversal/Isochron Scepter, the acceleration and fixing that artifacts provide, along with other utility cannot be denied. While many of the cards in this sub-shell fit within the confines of the other engines already mentioned, it is worth pointing out.
  6. Snap/Past in Flames - Both can help to revive some broken chains of the combo by enabling the recasting of certain instants and sorceries. They unfortunately do not help in the event of Thousand Year Storm, Eye of the Storm, etc. being countered, but hey, can't have it all.
