Hey you

How's Keeper of Keys working for you? I think it's kind of expensive, and holding on to the monarch for a full rotation is usually hard IMO. I think Marchesa's Decree would be a better option of introducing the monarch to the game, although it's somewhat in conflict with Ever-Watching Threshold

It looks good! The only change I'd personally make is re-adding Mystic Speculation for early TOL control and for the combo with Paradox Engine, but that's just personal taste.

I also just added Treasure Nabber and Ever-Watching Threshold, if you are interested in testing some new pieces from C18 ;)

Have you found that 1) you have enough lands? and 2) Snapcaster Mage has been doing work?

Best of luck! And thanks for taking such an interest in my list :)

The cards I would consider cutting are: Cryptolith Rite, Paradox Engine, Saheeli, the Gifted, Will Kenrith, and Tezzeret the Seeker . Cryptolith Rite makes your creatures produce mana, but you only have 10 creatures plus the tokens some of your planeswalkers can generate, but since you don't have enough pillowfort cards, you're likely to be trading creatures with your opponent, making the Rite fairly weak. Paradox Engine isn't doing much, even if you have Cryptolith Rite on the field. Saheeli, the Gifted can make tokens, which is good, but they'll likely just chump block other creatures, the cost reduction is nice, but most of the time it won't be more than a reduction of 2, and her ultimate is lack luster since the artifacts you have are for the most part not worth having in duplicates. Without Doubling Season, Rowan Kenrith can really mess you up if you don't have your pillowfort set up. Your deck does not have enough artifacts to make Tezzeret the Seeker 's abilities worthwhile.

Besides those, I'm not seeing too many other problematic cards, so it might come down to cards that don't help you as much. Perhaps Angrath, the Flame-Chained, Mana Vault, The Chain Veil, Mystic Barrier, Unsubstantiate, Ever-Watching Threshold, and Oath of Ajani

@Nicolascolau I'm not super impressed with Estrid's Invocation. There's only a few of the enchants we have that you'd want 2 of: probably grasp of fate, rhystic study, and aura of silence. But, VelvetVendetta really liked Copy Enchantment, but mostly because it copied other people's stuff, like Sylvan Library and Carpet of Flowers and if someone else lands a Rhystic Study before you do. It might also have been that he played in a reanimator-dominated metagame, so there was the possibility of copying an Animate Dead and snagging a huge bomb. Maybe VelvetVendetta can elaborate on this.

For C18, I think the most likely card is Ever-Watching Threshold. I think it's probably not good enough, but if it comes down before Zur, then it should discourage attacks or draw you cards - both great in a tymna-dominated metagame. I can't imagine it ever being strong enough to tutor into play with Zur. But worth testing.

Odysseus_97: Hey sorry for the late reply...was working on a new deck recently. I think Ever-Watching Threshold is a potentially good card to draw us extra gas (which almost always happen). The only downside is that you don't get immediate value off of it when you play it. I'm probably gonna test it out. Thanks for bringing it up!

@IzzWizz Thank you very much for the detailed review. I assembled and improved the deck over time so it will propably take me some time to get some of the cards you mentioned. But i will make some changes for sure since your arguments convinced me that the slots for Ever-Watching Threshold and Nevermore can be used for something better. I will also try to include Herald of the Pantheon. The Solemnity+Decree of Silence-lock is pretty attractive for me since the cards are pretty cheap and easy to acquire.
