Alright, we're building the god of group slug today. I first tried making a Queen Marchesa deck but my strategy felt too convoluted and all my win cons were clunky or just lucky. Dialing it back down to just Mogis lets us focus on our objectives clearly.

We want to deal damage to everyone quickly, continuously, and without consideration. Our mantra is hurt everyone equally including ourselves. THIS IS IMPORTANT. The most fun part about Mogis and Rakdos in general is playing on the razor's edge. If our opponents are annoyed by the 2 damage each turn from our general, and the little shocks they receive from time to time, we can assure them that we too are taking damage. (e.g. Zo-Zu the Punisher, Spellshock, Manabarbs, etc) Our opponents will target us less if we are equal with them and this will make it easier to set up something like Havoc Festival + Wound Reflection . This brings us to my problem with other builds.

WHY IS THERE LIFEGAIN?!?! Yes, Exquisite Blood is a powerful card but its a five mana waste of time if you have Havoc Festival out and even worse if you're using Rain of Gore (which is awesome help with devotion). To my earlier point, it is easier to stay low when you're on the same life total as most players. My one exception is Bloodchief Ascension which is an incredible card especially with cards like Tainted AEther.

The three chaos cards Possibility Storm + Scrambleverse + Warp World are all just for funsies. They really make a game exciting when they resolve and, with Scrambleverse, most of my permanents benefit me even if an opponent controls them.

The overall goal is simple. Get out Mogis and other cumulative damage dealers and then wipe the board (including lands if necessary) whenever you feel threatened.

I included Bontu's Last Reckoning even though its not that great because I am very disappointed in Bontu's representation of the Egyptian god Sobek and am glad she's dead. (Sobek should have been red >:])
