Osgir, the Reconstructor brings Boros into some very interesting design space. Even though Osgir is built as a typical Boros equipment voltron commander it has a unique ability we have never seen before that is begging to be abused.

0 CMC token abuse = Mishra's Bauble, Lion's Eye Diamond, Lotus Petal, Lotus Bloom and Mox Tantalite and the 4 artifact lands = Serious value!

Osgir "fixes" Phyrexian Dreadnought IMO this is an auto include irregardless of which direction you take in strategy.

Pithing Needle I'm currently testing but feeling like this might an auto include in a similar vein as Phyrexian Dreadnought. 1 colorless to shut off 2 things is just good. It's why Phyrexian Revoker is in the maybe board.

Anvil of Bogardan, Mesmeric Orb and Memory Jar feed the graveyard strategy. Goblin Welder, Goblin Engineer and Daretti, Scrap Savant diligently pick through the scrap heap.

Isochron Scepter package is a tight playset of utility:

  1. Pull from Eternity recycles Osgir fodder.

  2. Enlightened Tutor what you need when you need it.

  3. Rebuff the Wicked hard counter for a permanent based strategy.

  4. Tibalt's Trickery hard counter with top deck manipulation potential.

Osgir is designed for commander damage and he is in Boros but I am currently testing a Stoneforge Mystic utility package of Illusionist's Bracers,Battlemage's Bracers and Sword of the Paruns = obvious value engines.

Sword of the Animist = boros ramp.

Sword of Hearth and Home = ramp AND value.

Karn, the Great Creator recycles Osgir fodder while Treasure Nabber feed Osgir opponents goodies and Hellkite Tyrant is a token win condition. Mycosynth Lattice breaks all 3 of these cards...

Quicksmith Genius and Reckless Fireweaver are the Kaladesh hidden gems for Osgir. On curve and feed the strategy in both directions.

Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion has noticable synergy with Osgir but not yet willing to commit.

While looking through my collection there were noticeable stax pieces that might be fun to abuse with Osgir but that's for a different build/strategy...
