This Derevi list is a conversion of an older Jenara, Asura of War value-oriented list, but adapted slightly to fit Derevi's abilities better. Ultimately the function of having Derevi as a defensive commander that also provides utility and synergy in other ways with cards like Birthing Pod, Mana Vault, etc feels significantly stronger after initial testing than Jenara.

Overall it plays like a control deck with a combo finish, but I'm considering adding something like Craterhoof Behemoth to offer a more proactive and potentially earlier win con. I've found this deck's board state can frequently go quite wide with smaller utility creatures that would benefit from having Craterhoof around.

These are the low-impact cards I'd like to find suitable replacements for - if anyone has any suggestions for alternatives or cards with completely different functions that my deck might be lacking that would be great:
