This particular build of Esika focuses on the creature half of the commander, although it could still run decently well if you decide to play it as the enchantment. There are even a couple of ways to return Esika to your hand from the battlefield if you want to recast it as the enchantment later in the game. 2 CMC or less legends are common in order to make use of Esika's powerful ramp ability while also providing some bodies in the early game for defense and utility in some cases.

The main goal is to get The World Tree out and then bring all our Gods out to the battlefield. At first I thought I should only run Gods, but that ended up being too slow and hard to deal with attackers due to a lot of the clauses making them unable to block or be creatures consistently and early in the game. While not all the creatures in this deck are Gods, they are all legendary. After many trial runs, this seemed like a good balance of God and non-God legends.

There's also potential for infinite combos, although they're hard to pull off and require many pieces. With Najeela, Esika, and at least 3 other attacking creatures, you can get infinite combats. With an additional 4th attacker, you can create infinite mana, however the mana would disappear as you move between combat phases. Depending on your board state, Sisay could potentially make use of the infinite mana by grabbing every legend in your deck at instant speed (grabbing Heroes' Podium or Ravos first could make it so that you can grab things beyond 7 CMC). With Raff and a card draw engine like Jhoira, Lonis, or Reki, it's possible to get a similar effect, albeit in a less consistent way.
