Trostani deck with a situational twist. The deck isn't too dependable of Trostani, Selesnya's Voice , unless you can abuse her populate (second part of Gameplan). If you can't at the moment, you don't need Trostani on the board.

Gameplan

This is a midrange deck, not full aggro like most Trostani decks. The deck is capable of gaining lots of health in an instant if necessary, exploding with a lot of creatures when needed, and having some answers for the control players.

Beatdown

• With this deck you can play a traditional trostani, with a lot of ramp and some big creatures and tutors. Ramp with Mana Doublers like Mirari's Wake , Zendikar Resurgent and Regal Behemoth ; then apply some pressure generating lots of tokens with Tendershoot Dryad and with other token generators.

Abusing Populate

• One way you can abuse Trostani, Selesnya's Voice , unlike any other commander, is her Populate ability. If you make a token using Seance , Mimic Vat , Bramble Sovereign or Mirrorpool of a creature card, you can populate. Who doesn't want tokens of Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite ready to be populated?

WinCons

• Trostani, Selesnya's Voice + Aetherflux Reservoir with lots of health.
• Avenger of Zendikar + Craterhoof Behemoth if you have any board for a lot of surprise damage. Also, if you have Trostani, Selesnya's Voice you also get enormous quantity of life.
• Triumph of the Hordes +some board that can take people by surprise.

Pros

• Versatility when tutoring for the creature you need;
• Explosive with a lot of ramp, and good recovery when needed;
• Can have some answers for control players;
• Unique mechanic, making tokens of cards.

Cons

• No infinite combos;
• No 0 mana counterspell;
• Can't deal with commander damage;
• Weak to flyers;
• Still weak to full control players (focus those filthy blue).

Some important observations

• I originally had token doublers like Doubling Season , Parallel Lives and Anointed Procession , but I removed those. The reason was that they usually didn't work and was stuck at my hand. Most people respond when you make a powerplay, with or without those.

• I am thinking of removing The Immortal Sun , but couldn't find a card to replace. It's like a Phyrexian Arena with some utility.

• I'M ALWAYS OPEN TO SUGESTIONS.
