Important update!

This deck has now been retired in its current form and reincarnated as Kung-Fu Nephilim. Any advice on that deck would be greatly appreciated.

The Nephilim should be legendary. And as long as nobody in our playgroup objects, we consider them to be for the purposes of Commander. This deck's aim is very simple: cantrips to control the board until you draw into Act of Treason or one of its ilk.

With Ink-Treader Nephilim, any targeted removal becomes a board-wipe. Any cantrip that targets now reads "Draw a card for each creature on the battlefield." which is probably worth more than the mana you're putting into it. Spawning Breath and Silverfur Partisan help you make a lot of tokens which, when combined with Wild Defiance and buff spells like Armed and Sigil Blessing mean that you might not even need an Act to win. Of course, this deck's not nearly fast enough for one-on-one, but in multiplayer, it performs very consistently.

Some of the most fun cards in the deck with Ink-Treader are Cytoshape (everything becomes a copy of something) and Rite of Replication. Isochron Scepter is a nice card, too, especially when imprinted with Into the Roil or something.

Another important note: no matter which player casts the spell targetting Ink-Treader Nephilim, its controller gets the copies. Relevant if they use something like Act of Treason themself, if they clear the board with Slaughter Pact or you've got Nivmagus Elemental on the field...

A brief note - or warning - to anybody considering using Eye of the Storm or Dovescape in the deck. Stack your triggers well and you can radiate any spell going at Ink-Treader Nephilim without risk of him getting hit. On the other hand, if you want to prevent your opponents from radiating something, stack them in the other way.

My personal favourite cards in the deck are Dovescape, Chandra Ablaze , Narset, Enlightened Master, Eye of the Storm , Wild Defiance, Spawning Breath, Willbreaker, Silverfur Partisan and Cytoshape .
