Global consistent counters such as Ice Cave, Planar Chaos, Nether Void, Checks and Balances are great for keeping other players in check whilst Mishra, Artificer Prodigy doesn't care if his artefacts become countered as his ability will recur them. Blood Funnel also makes noncreature spells cheaper and once again we don't care if our artefacts are countered.

Possibility Storm results in getting a two-for-one deal whenever we play an artefact.

Praetor's Grasp and Thada Adel, Acquisitor allow us to seek out artefacts from opponents decks that we also have in our own deck. This is the main reason for my inclusion of Blightsteel Colossus because generally I'm not huge on Infect as a win condition. Sol Ring and other mana rocks are always a nice option though.

Aside from that, the deck does typical combo things with artefacts that are fun to play out some of the time.
