Scion of the Ur Dragon is not just any dragon commander - He operates with a very different style than something like The Ur-Dragon himself. Instead of focusing on putting many creatures into play and bashing opponents, he focuses more on combos and intricate lines that can quickly gain you huge advantage, take out a player, or just win the game.

In this deck, lots of great dragon cards like Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Broodmother, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen are absent. This is because our deck does not seek as much to flood the board with dragons over the course of several turns, but rather on having explosive capabilities to end the game quickly and unexpectedly.

The goal of this deck is to cheat huge things into play quickly and early and use our commander to pull any dragon out of the deck to aid in this process. Haste is very important to expedite this, so Dragon Tempest, Maelstrom Wanderer and Lightning Greaves and the like are all stars. Protecting the commander is super important as well, as he is a huge piece to the success of the deck, so boots and the ability to fetch Palladia-Mors, the Ruiner out of the deck aid in this.

Because he puts dragons into the graveyard, reanimation like Life / Death, Feldon of the Third Path and Unburial Rites are very powerful as well. So are cheat effects, like Maelstrom Archangel and Through the Breach as getting our combo pieces on the board faster is great.

Finally, the Dragons. We have a huge package of dragons that can interact with our opponent, get extra combat steps and powerful things like that, or combo out and end the game. The main lines I use are:

Powerful Advantage / Win:

Nicol Bolas Discard your hand please

Moltensteel Dragon then pay 12 life then Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon for 10 infect

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind then enchant with curiosity for infinite draw and damage.

Worldgorger Dragon + Animate Dead to get infinite mana then Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius for the win

Savage Ventmaw + Aggrevated Assault for infinite combat steps

Interaction:

Worldgorger Dragon in response to a board wipe

Silumgar, the Drifting Death / Steel Hellkite / Drakuseth, Maw of Flames / Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire to get rid of problems

Palladia-Mors, the Ruiner in response to interaction

Other Utility:

Scourge of the Throne for an extra combat step

The Ur-Dragon for enormous advantage in one combat step

Savage Ventmaw if you need a mana boost

Utvara Hellkite if you need a sudden army

Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund if someone rudely stole your stuff or you need haste

Dragon Mage to refill

Yeah, so thats the deck. Getting access to pretty much your whole deck every game is an extremely powerful thing.
