Much like the Academy Award Winner for Best Picture from the year I started building it, it's a high-budget work made entirely in black and white whose flashiness makes you think it's more important than it really is. Pretentious? Maybe. But every little detail helps to convey the overall message, even if it's not as succinct and blatant as people might like. It really gets people talking about how it blows you away within the first ten minutes, when, if anything, it's slow to the point of overstaying its welcome sometimes. Even so, people keep saying it's outstanding, but I think that may be because 2011 was a bad year overall for the medium, so by comparison it's great, but without a bell curve it's middle of the road.
