Why Aminatou?

Miracles

Aminatou's +1 ability allows for card draw and the ability to top-deck cards with Miracle to cast powerful effects, like Terminus, for cheap. While this is nice for card advantage, I decided not to build the deck around Miracle cards because they don't have as much value as repeatedly blinking creatures.

Blinking

Aminatou's -1 is my favorite of her abilities, because of all the options. With Miracle, you're limited to a small amount of cards, whereas you have many cards to blink, as you just need any ETB creature! I chose to build this deck to gain the most value out of Aminatou's -1 by either reanimating creatures or blinking existing ones.

This deck was primarily built based off of blinking creatures and abusing their ETB effects. There are some blinking cards like Brago, King Eternal, Ghostly Flicker, and Conjurer's Closet that help abuse Enter the Battlefield abilities like Solemn Simulacrum, Rune-Scarred Demon, and Dream Eater.

I’m back! Again, and Again!

Black is well known for reanimation. Reanimator decks are basically blinking creatures from the grave, but without setup and the worry for graveyard hate. I included a small reanimation package of Buried Alive, Entreat the Dead, Dance of the Dead, and Animate Dead. This package is meant for late-game plays, or if your ETB creatures are in the grave. It also allows us to cheat in creatures with large CMCs, which we have a fair share of.

It’s a Miracle, Baby!

Aminatou's card draw ability is a force to be reckoned with, and it's something to definitely take advantage of. The only three Miracle cards used are Terminus, Devastation Tide, and Entreat the Dead, because they are the most impactful Miracle cards, in my opinion.

Should You Play Aminatou?

You should play this deck if:

• You like incremental value

• You like changing your playstyle during a game

• You wanna play a blink deck not reliant on haste/lots of mana

You should NOT play this deck if:

• You hate Torpor Orb effects

• You enjoy extremely fast combo wins

• You want to play Esper for the control it provides

• You enjoy a straightforward game
