Infinity Gauntlet (aka Unfair Tribal)

Commander / EDH* Five Color

warp67

Salutations my children!

Fist of Suns is one of my favorite cards ever printed, and Wizards was kind enough to put it on a stick so I could make it my commander!

This deck, known as 'Unfair Tribal' has two main goals:

1. Lock down the opponent

2. Cheat in our lock pieces

To lock the opponent, we have a variety of powerful cards that only get better when played together

a.Asceticism: Gives all lock pieces hexproof, meaning that your key creatures won't die to Path to Exile or Chaos Warp.

b. Avacyn, Angel of Hope: Pretty straightforward effect, your permanents are safe from burn spells board wipes that deal damage or use the word 'destroy' (Descend upon the Sinful is still brutal, however).

c. Blazing Archon: You would be surprised how many decks get shut down when their army of tokens can't actually do the one thing they are supposed to do.

d. Iona, Shield of Emeria: Free wins against monocolored decks, and a great disruption against board wipes and removal splashes.

e. Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur: There are very few times when preventing your opponent from having a hand is a bad effect, plus we get some of the best card advantage out there for 10 mana.

f. Platinum Angel: Good ol' PA prevents us from losing, even when our life is zero. So as long as the angel is alive, so are we.

g. Overwhelming Splendor: This card explains itself. Few worse feelings than to have this on you and your opponent casting a Golgari Charm.

h. Imprisoned in the Moon: Budget-friendly way to get rid of someone's commander for a long time...

But how do we get these ridiculously expensive creatures and spells into play? We cheat costs of course!

a. Jodah, Archmage Eternal: Jodah allows us to play our huge spells for a low, low price. Works for any card that could be cast in your hand

b. Fist of Suns: Like Jodah, but less alive. Works well when opponent has a way to deal with creatures.

c. Thran Temporal Gateway: Allows us to cheat in our 'walkers and legends for a cool 4 colorless.

d. Elvish Piper: Classic way to put our big creatures out for very little mana.

e. Quicksilver Amulet: Cheats creatures into play for 4 colorless.

f. Braids, Conjurer Adept: My girl braids lets everyone Show and Tell on their turn, ours will just be better than our opponent's.

So far, this deck has been pretty sweet. I'm looking for some suggestions and I hope some of you decide to try the deck out yourselves. You won't be disappointed!
