important notice: this goat dek has 0 goats!!! whatt?? i know. wizards must hate us goat tribal players, because even zedruu the queen of goats is a.. minotaur? wth!

do not panic. you can fix the entire deck by adding a single copy of Mountain Goat. i am not lying, Mountain Goat is the only card you can truly depend on.

only cut Mountain Goat if you want to give your opponents a fighting chance (aka you are a scrub casual who is afraid of winning)

notable combos

1. Plea for Guidance -> Sacred Ground + Impending Disaster

donate the Impending Disaster to the next player and profit. idk how people will react to this, but you might wanna talk about rule 0 before hand. Sacred Ground will trigger Quintorius, Field Historian but i cut him, so yeah.

I believe Fall of the Thran can also replace Impending Disaster as long as you donate in response to the destroy all lands trigger. I don't run it because it costs a lot more mana than Impending Disaster, but maybe triggers 2 and 3 will make your opponents hate you less.

2. Nine Lives + Fractured Identity + Patrician's Scorn

with your Nine Lives lose trigger on the stack cast Patrician's Scorn to blow up everyone else's copy. this will put their lose the game triggers on top of yours, causing them to die first. epic win.

i stole this combo from tomer's zedruu list on mtggoldfish. all the pieces are pretty good independent of this combo too, it's great

sweet combos

1. Bag of Holding + Land's Edge

this deck can draw a lot of cards. Land's Edge lets us convert some of that card draw into damage, and Bag of Holding lets us double dip. throw in a Goldnight Castigator to quadruple the fun. Brallin, Skyshark Rider   is also pretty cool

2. Leave / Chance + Nahiri's Wrath + Arcbond

bounce a bunch of stuff to your hand with leave (you can float all your mana and bounce your lands if you're desperate), use chance to find as many high cmc cards as is possible, and throw them all at the creature you used Arcbond on. you can easily deal 20 - 40 damage this way to everyone at the table, and it's a solid way to win if you have the life lead.

Shabraz, the Skyshark and Toothy, Imaginary Friend can also clean things up for you afterwards.

cut combos

1. Leveler + Fractured Identity

Leveler feels like a dead draw most of the time. you could add more alternative win cons to make it work, but i didn't want to do that.

2. Precursor Golem + Arcbond + Ephemeral Shields + Jeskai Charm or Angel's Grace

You also need to get one of the giants to take damage through Guilty Conscience, Nahiri's Wrath, Lightning Bolt or combat. this is a wombo combo. I really wanted to run it, but I don't think zedruu is the place for it since it has a lot of pieces that feel dead more often than not.
