Thinking about going Jeskai. Jeskai Charm is incredibly good. Izzet Charm would be great for drawing. Uncovered Clues seems pretty good, considering I have 26 instants + sorceries out of 65 cards. Jori En, Ruin Diver and Bloodwater Entity seem good.

Jeskai Charm is not exactly two colors, so you can never put it in your hand from Niv-Mizzet Reborn . I'm not sure what two green cards you had or what you mean by "made it alright", but with the effect you get to put up to one revealed card each that is exactly WU, WB, UB, UR, BR, BG, RG, RW, GW, GU. If they have any more or less colors than two they can not be put into your hand, if you reveal more than one card with exactly the same two colors you pick one to put into your hand.

Emrakul's Influence specifies "Eldrazi creature card". All Is Dust is an Eldrazi card, but is not a creature card. So it will not trigger Emrakul's Influence .

For the first question, Niv-Mizzet Reborn 's ability lets you keep one card for each color pair, but it must be exactly that color pair. So Rakdos Charm should work, but Jeskai Charm is three colors and therefore not a valid choice. And if you reveal both Rakdos Charm and Rakdos Firewheeler , for example, then you can only keep one of them.

I don't know which two green cards you were fetching that were fine.

The basic idea behind Niv-Mizzet's ability is that if you're supremely lucky, you will reveal exactly one card that represents each guild on Ravnica (so if your reveal hits one of each guild charm, then you can keep them all, because they are each exactly two colors, and there is exactly one for each color pair).

Regarding your second question, Emrakul's Influence has a triggered ability, not an activated ability (it's an important distinction). In order for it to trigger, you must cast an Eldrazi creature spell. While All Is Dust is Eldrazi Tribal and thus has a creature type, it is not a creature spell (it needs "Creature" on the type line to qualify).

First being that I couldn't use Niv-Mizzet Reborn 's effect when I had Jeskai Charm and Rakdos Charm But yesterday having to green cards made it alright somehow. I'm not sure which is correct.

second. Can I activate Emrakul's Influence when I play say All Is Dust

Great deck! The only thing that seemed questionable was Jeskai Charm . The third ability is not super useful since you are heavy on spells and control, and it would probably be bad for you to tap out and try to aggro win, since they prob have responses. The second ability could be replaced by just a lightning bolt or lightning helix. The first ability could be replaced by path to exile, although bolt would work just as well as removal.

Squirrelbacon: I'll test out 2 copies of Snapcaster Mage at some point and see how it plays.

Heroic Reinforcements , like Jeskai Charm , is probably a bit too cute, but also allows for a swing of 9 points of damage with either just Hero or Pyro out. Like snappy, I think it is worth testing at least.

As someone who has also played Geist of Saint Traft and Spell Queller in the same deck, I agree it can be awkward sometimes. But usually I find that it is highly situational on which is the correct to play. There is no hard rule about which one you should play on turn 3 as it'll depend on a lot of factors, your opponent's board state and deck for example, on which is going to end up being correct. Also, Geist excels mostly against combo decks and is still an extra, and I'd say necessary threat, against control.

Eidolon of the Great Revel is an interesting sideboard card and probably worth considering if Storm's meta game share goes up. Same with Render Silent , it's a personal favorite of mine in EDH as well.

I love discussing decks and card ideas with people, we may not always agree on everything, but it is always worth figuring out what cards are worth testing or not, especially with a brew like this.

The reason why I'm going with Jeskai over Mardu is that I already own the cards for U/W/x Control decks in Modern. So it is easier for me to experiment with Jeskai. Therefore, I'd like to keep discussion on improving the Jeskai version.

I've seen a lot of people not liking Electrolyze , but as someone who has played a lot of Jeskai Control, that card is one of the key reasons why you play Jeskai over UW. Killing tokens, dorks or utility creatures at Electrolyze's rate is always good.

Jeskai Charm is too cute, playing more Boros Charm s is a good suggestion. How do you feel about trying out Heroic Reinforcements in that slot?

I think maindecking 4 Path to Exile is crucial right now with Arclight Phoenix decks and GDS being at the top of the meta game currently. My lgs in particular is full of those decks.

I'm unsure about Snapcaster Mage as it just seems kinda slow in a more aggressive/tempo style deck. But it is probably worth testing.
