Voltaic crackles and hums echo through the air, muddling occasionally with the loud grinding of massive gears. Enigmatic wafts linger through the air, riddling with the scents of freezing sulfur or scalding frost. Below you, the sounds grow louder. You boldly sought the powers of the Izzet League, despite the warnings of your fellow guildmages. So foolishly, you have intruded into her domain. Electrical flashes of light glow beneath you, rising from a seemingly endless chiasm of steam and steel. Here in the heart of a great furnace, in the seat of mechanical ingenuity, she comes for you. For you have invaded her studies, for you have disrupted her projects. Time stands still for one last moment, before you see a bright streak of lightning coming right at you...

Like many, once I saw Mizzix of the Izmagnus and really started thinking it over, I eventually decided I wanted to build her. However, I was already running a Riku of Two Reflections spellslinger deck, so I held a great deal of recalcitrance. Still, I managed to get my hands on the Izzet pre-con, "Seize Control." A few tests here and there, and I eventually decided Mizzix was vastly superior in the spellslinging department. She exploded into play, making would-be impossible plays, possible. Needless to say, I was impressed. Thus, decks were exchanged and here we are. That being said, there may be less optimal cards in my build currently, especially since this deck used to be for a completely different commander. Hopefully, that will be fixed overtime. In the meantime, I hope you like the current build. Please feel free to offer suggestions and ideas.
