Hello, welcome to my Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief deck! This deck used to be a Mirri the Cursed deck. The main reason I wanted to change the deck is that I was using too many card slots trying to control the board and protect Mirri. In this build, much of the removal is instead done with Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief which frees up more slots to give the deck more answers to more decks.

Big mana + Drana = lots of damage.

Big Mana:Bubbling Muck, Extraplanar Lens, Caged Sun, Gauntlet of Power, Crypt Ghast, Nirkana Revenant , Magus of the Coffers, and Cabal Coffers.

Equipment suite:The goal of the equipment are to protect Drana or another big creature and give them haste. The second goal of the equipment is to use as few equipment cards as possible in order to pump Drana or a substitute creature to really big levels.

Lashwrithe, and Nightmare Lash do some heavy pump.

Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Darksteel Plate try to protect Drana or other important creatures.

I'm thinking about using Champion's Helm , General's Kabuto , or perhaps a few swords.

Board control suite: Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief A staple of black control is creature and board wipes: All Is Dust, Toxic Deluge, Mutilate, Black Sun's Zenith, Living Death, Nevinyrral's Disk.

I'm a fan of removal that comes with a body, which I feel is a theme of Drana. That's why I'm including: Steel Hellkite, Massacre Wurm, Kiku, Night's Flower , Sheoldred, Whispering One, Shriekmaw.

Finally, I think Ashes to Ashes is just too good to pass up. Cards I want to improve this area of the deck are: Damnation, Oblivion Stone, and Karn Liberated. I chose not to include Avatar of Woe and Visara the Dreadful because I think they are too much mana for the curve.

Silent Arbiter, Sudden Spoiling, Infernal Darkness, Nightmare Incursion , Sadistic Sacrament. Round out the deck's control suite.

Card draw and tutors:Erebos, God of the Dead, Vampiric Tutor, Necropotence, Phyrexian Arena, Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Revelation, Praetor's Grasp, Promise of Power, Ancient Craving, Read the Bones, Sign in Blood, Night's Whisper, Sensei's Divining Top, Expedition Map.

I feel this area could use tweaking. Some cards I could add are: Ambition's Cost, Bloodgift Demon, Diabolic Tutor, Increasing Ambition, Cruel Tutor.

Recursion:Chainer, Dementia Master, Geth, Lord of the Vault , Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Living Death, Mimic Vat .

The stars of the deck: Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief

Illusionist's Bracers Good on many of the creatures and particularly Drana.You don't want to see Hatred, Lashwrithe or Nightmare Lash . They signify that the end is near.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion, Massacre Wurm, Wurmcoil Engine, Shriekmaw...

Korlash, Heir to Blackblade is a heavy hitter who can finish games.

Grave Titan brings the party and gives you a field from nothing.

Temporal Extortion The decks theme isn't to take extra turns, but this seems fun and strong.

Liliana of the Dark Realms All abilities are amazing, but mostly this will be the first ability early on, and the second ability later on.
