Kenrith Twins Chain Veil Superfriends

These partner izzet commanders can do some strong plays when their abilities are activated multiple times per turn. We can use this to generate large amounts of mana, control effects and most importantly to win the game with direct damage and permanent removal.

How to Win

Will kenrith can reduce planeswalker, instant and sorcery costs by 2 mana every time you activate his -2 ability. Using the chain veil only once allows you to do his -2 ability twice, drawing you 4 cards and making a cumulative -4 mana cost to planeswalkers, instants and sorceries. Since he is out of loyalty, he will die and go back to the command zone. Now you can replay him for 2 colorless and 2 blue mana. Use the -2 ability twice again. Now the spells are reduced by 8 mana and you draw 4 more cards. You can see where this is going. You must continually have blue mana to use, so either paradox engine or dream halls will allow you to continue going off. Play out your cards until you deal lethal to the board with planeswalker activations.

High tide and Jace vryn prodigy allows us to create a large amount of mana without any help from either general.

Past in flames is great when using Will’s -2 ability as we can play all the spells drawn and then replay them from the graveyard for a minimal cost. The effect can become almost storm-like at times although it is not necessary to play any storm cards because our planeswalkers have enough power to end a game.

Lots of control, removal, counters and bounce allow us to keep the board clear and stop other player’s combos until we are ready to combo off.

Another point of Rowan's ultimate : Since it automatically copies non-mana abilities, once Rowan ultimates we can copy the untap abilities of both grim monolith and basalt monolith to generate infinite colorless mana, which helps to go off during the combo turn.

Additional Plays

Cloudstone curio can be used with multiple planeswalkers out to bounce them back to your hand and continually reuse their abilities. This is even more effective if you have Rowan’s emblem which basicallly doubles every non-mana activated ability you control. Even though some of the planeswalkers can generate mana they don’t count as mana abilities. You can use these abilities such as tezzeret with artifact mana, Chandra torch with her +1 add 2 red mana and the Chandra bold with a similar ability. The colorless planeswalkers can become free using wills -2 ability and subsequently used to bounce other planeswalkers with the curio for free.
