Introduction and Resources

This is a Sydri Artifact combo deck built for a high-power casual meta featuring experienced players and well-built (but not fullon cEDH) decks. My approach was to build as competitive a deck as possible given a few constraints; in this case I'm using a suboptimal Esper commander and sticking to Artifact-based wincons rather than a more powerful Consultation + Oracle or Ad Nauseam + Doomsday package. This allows the deck to "feel" a lot like a true cEDH list while still maintaining some unique flavor.

Strategy

This deck typically wins by rushing Bolas's Citadel into play as fast as possible, usually turn 3-4, then playing off the top of the deck. The Dramatic Scepter combo serves as decent redundancy, as does Sydri herself.

Wincons

• Sydri, Galvanic Genius + Aetherflux Reservoir = win. Reservoir is technically a 1-card combo with Sydri herself, but it's extremely mana-intensive and requires 51 Life to start. Still, Sydri makes Reservoir wins a lot easier if we are limited by casts rather than life.

• Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top = draw or cast through the whole deck. This combo will win games with Aetherflux Reservoir, which can rapidly replace all the life lost. It can also be used to set up a Dramatic Scepter combo.

• Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal (with 2+ mana worth of untappable rocks in play) = infinite untaps and usually infinite mana. This combo will win games with Aetherflux Reservoir or draw the whole deck with Sensei's Divining Top. It's also possible to copy Scepter with Copy Artifact thereby allowing infinite casts of any 1-2CMC instant, but these lines are pretty fringe.

Conclusion

Sydri is decisively outclassed by a few other Commanders, but she has a unique gimmick that can be super fun to play with. This list won't hold up at fullon cEDH tables, but it works great in high-power casual with the right support. It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow!
