This is the main idea I've been working on in making a creatureless EDH deck. I'm trying to work out kinks at this point and I could use some help!

First, a few notes about my deck-building habits that I'll probably stick to (thought feel free to suggest things regardless!):

1. I generally don't run infinite combos unless they require 3 or more cards. (You might notice I have Exquisite Blood in the list but not Sanguine Bond). I'm not completely opposed to 2-card combos, but I personally find games more interesting without them. An exception to this is 2-card-combo infinite card draw. That's just too fun.

2. I generally don't run tutors. It's weird, yeah. I used to, but I've found the "inconsistency" of luck-of-the-draw more fun than having the answers to win a game.

3. I try to stick to cards that are less than $5. While I'm not always a "budget" player, I get a little weary thinking about spending much more than that on some really awesome cardboard (Sorry, no Damnation or Replenish for me). A few exceptions in this deck's case are Phyrexian Arena (my favorite black card draw), Exquisite Blood, and No Mercy.

4. I almost never play blue, and never "traditional" control blue. As such, you may notice a distinct lack of counterspells! Unlike the other points, I would actually LIKE to run counterspells for some added control, but I really have no idea which ones to run, how many to have, and what to take out.

Anyways, with that said, my main win-condition right now is sitting back behind pillows and letting the various life-loss enchantments do their work. Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless are finishers.

I'd certainly love to hear about other potential win conditions, though.

I'm also trying to keep it truly creatureless by avoiding cards like Phyrexian Rebirth, Luminarch Ascension, Bribery, etc. Basically anything that puts creatures on my side of the field. I'm still not sure if I want to make a personal rule to never cast Oloro, but oh well. =P
