Standard* Aggro Competitive GW (Selesnya) Midrange Primer Tokens

PlagueRats

Sideboard

This is a fast and reliable Aggro Tokens deck. It's all about putting down more power and toughness across more bodies faster then any opponent. The mana curve is about as reliable as it gets, most games you'll draw perfect untapped lands to play on curve every turn until your playmat is covered three rows deep.

This deck should stand a fair chance against anything legal in Standard, if the opponent can't deal with a lot of creatures fast, this gives a good chance of winning game one, especially if you win the die roll. The maindeck is now fine tuned to be as reliable as possible which will let you steal some percentage of games whenever opponents have awkward draws. This deck is able to go both wide and tall, you have to go wide first, then you can often pump the team and win in one or two swings. If the opponent puts up too much resistance you can focus on making the biggest threats and then attack solo into anything profitably. Unlike a typical aggro deck, this actually gains long term advantage as the game goes long from all the token generators.

There are two low-CMC Planeswalkers that do exactly what this deck wants. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar both make tokens and then you win the game once you build up a critical creature advantage. Eight Planeswalkers let you reliably pump the team +2/+2 or more every game, so there are four each of Servo Exhibition and Oath of Gideon which combo with everything. Thraben Inspector is all around perfect here. There's three Sylvan Advocate's just to smooth things out, after that every card is a low CMC must-kill threat.

Smuggler's Copter is arguably the best card in the format and this is possibly the best deck for Smuggler's Copter. Get in some early damage while looting, defend Planeswalkers from flyers, pump it to 5/5 and your winning. Crew 1 in this deck is effectively free in all but the worst situations.

Hanweir Militia Captain   transforms as early as turn four, then it's usually the biggest creature on the table with the upside of generating a free creature every turn.

Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter Makes giant creatures, once you hit five lands you'll want to activate Lifecrafter every turn until it's removed or you've won. Having eight one drop creatures contributes to the maindecks reliability. This card along with some creatures will take over most games. If this deck gets to do what it wants uninterrupted, Lifecrafter's making an 8/8 on turn five and an 11/11 on turn six. At worst it's a one drop that trades for creature removal.

Why no Selfless Spirit? It seems like a must have card for a deck like this, but it just doesn't feel right to me. I've tried it mainboard and sideboard and feel like I do better with Sylvan Advocate.

The Sideboard is powerful, full of over-powered cards that are good against the strategies that are bad match-ups for the maindeck. I like to keep it simple - there are only four choices:

4x Declaration in Stone- Still a great card, especially in the sideboard since you'll only bring it in when its really needed. I'm choosing this over Blessed Alliance for this deck now.

3x Sigarda, Heron's Grace, this lines up well with the format. Good against Emrakul, the Promised End, and all the popular flyers, It can even make tokens and it's strong against token hate.

4x Collective Effort Because Escalate is practically free. So side this in against big creature decks where it will only cost to cast all three effects; destroy target creature, destroy target enchantment, and put a +1/+1 counter on all your creatures. Great against Mid-range and Stasis Snare . Weak against the fastest aggro and pure control.

4x Greenwarden of Murasa is for match-ups that are expected to go long. It beats all the boardwipes opponents will side in against your game one token deck. This three-for-ones most creature removal, same upside against whatever it can trade for in combat. This is generally want you want against most control decks, just be careful around counterspells. So long as this card resolves it will return any card from the grave, then it is all upside from there. Let it go to the graveyard if you have a second copy in hand.

I'm back to my original plan of letting the sideboard move the deck away from tokens. Side in all 15 to transform into a mediocre midrange deck when faced with heavy token hate. side out Servo Exhibition, Oath of Gideon , Hanweir Militia Captain  , and then whatever seems weakest. Maybe 2-3 Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and 1-2 Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter.
