This is an aggro/control/ equipment deck with a number of different win conditions.

1) The most obvious win con is Zurgo's ability to quickly kill opponents with commander damage. This deck has a number of ways to cheaply and sneakily give Zurgo increased power, evasion, double strike, double damage and even multiple attack phases. Just one of these enhancements will allow zurgo to kill in two swings and adding two or more together allows easy one swing kills. Since Zurgo can usually be chump blocked there is a good deal of boardwipes and spot removal to clear his path. All pretty generic Zurgo staples.

2) What makes this deck a bit different from most other Zurgo decks is that it is also built around Stonehewer Giant (hence Brainspoil). His ability to tutor and instantly attach equipment to any of my creatures makes him the perfect sidekick to Zurgo. The most absurd choice is World Slayer which when attached to an unblocked Zurgo effectively ends the game in most curcumstances. Sunforger provides potential answers to nearly anything my opponents throw at me and provides enough extra power to Zurgo that a little Psychotic Fury will allow him to wipe an opponent out of existence. Umbral Mantle followed by Illusionist's Bracers allows me to put most of my equipment on the board in a couple turns. Since this strategy is very mana intensive I have devoted a large portion of the deck to mana rocks and land tutoring. The reanimation cards in this deck help keep stonehewer coming back. Mimic Vat really shines in this regard.

3) If my opponents tuck/steal Zurgo and exile stonehewer all is not lost. Aurelia, the Warleader and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight interact just as well with the enhancements in this deck with a little help from Puresteel Paladin who happens to be a Sunforger savant and Vulshok Battlemaster can pick up the pieces and go to work immediately all on his own.
