With my passion for my Wydwen, the Biting Gale (typical counter/walker) deck, but me being unwilling to play the expensive thing, I decided to build another variant of what that deck tries to do.

Wydwen is better at protecting walkers, since she can pseudo-block with her self-bounce, and black gives better removal to threats. vClique although is better at the Polymorph game, since she can flash out and look (and peal away), exile removal, to help keep Ulamog safe.

I like to tell my friends that this is a "tribal faerie" deck. Since vClique features 3x faeries, and Ulamog is the only other creature, that means that 3/4 of the creatures in the deck are faeries... right? And let's be real here, Ulamog is an honorary faerie.

I'm more than aware that in the more competitive meta's that Baral, Chief of Compliance makes for a better Polymorph commander, since the deck can push Ulamog out on turn-3 with his reduction. But I like the flying info-gathering vClique back-up plan. Mostly because this is as close to my beloved Wydwen that I can make a deck function and play.
