I have a deep love for 5 color tribalish decks. Like the Elder dinos, Elder dragons, so on so fourth. So this is 5 color Praetors. Or as my play group has been calling it, “Angry Tribal.” Much was inspired by another deck so bare with me.

So what we have here is about 72 board wipes (a minor exaggeration). I figured because of how angry the Praetors make everyone (especially Jin and Vorinclex), I might as well be the bad guy at the edh table. Then I figure why stop there, Armageddon and Catastrophe are angry cards. Along with strip mine, and some more land hate (even board wipe AND land hate in Star of Extinction) you can be sure no one but you is having fun. A few tutors make finding wipes much more efficient, or just find Torment of Hailfire. Either works.

The only lacking department is win cons. Sure most of the Praetors are solid, and torment can do the job in a deck filled with wipes. So to compensate, I added a few “permanents you control have indestructible” cards so that board wipes are FAR more efficient (especially land hate), the most effective being Lattice and Forge. There is no lattice lock because although yes it’s an angry deck, I can’t stand two piece win combos. In modern, sure, but in edh you can be so much more creative. So there are no win-the-game combos.

But besides that it’s pretty much just lacking in win cons. Golos CAN be used to fix mana but I prefer to find land hate. Everyone hates infinite so Vizier and Devoted are in there. Finally a random Zacama because I love the art and because it’s an absolute bomb.

Warning: do not play this deck against people you’ve hardly met or gotten to know. No one likes to play against praetors, land hate, or control magic. Only to be used in a casual game with friends. Or to anger someone deeply.
