By show of hands, who likes to pay the full cmc for spells?.......me either.

And, who wants spells to get even cheaper, as you go?.......me too.

Almost f#%king free is what we all want.

Being that you can use discount that Mizzix of the Izmagnus gives you, on all forms of the spell (total cmc is announced, discount is then applied), you can apply it to Buybacks, Kickers, Multikickers, Overloads, and Flashbacks (Eyes turn into dollar signs, Cha-Ching sound happens). And, being that the discount applies when you cast a spell, alomast every spell with an X in the mana cost, gives you an experience counter.

This deck exploits the hell out of discounts.

You do, in fact, want to pay a little bit for the spells, you don’t want them all to be completely free. This is how you can turn an X into a huge, lethal, number. By declaring how much your spell will cost, you allow the discount to be applied, an gain the experience counter. Because of this, my mana base is in constant flux. I am always looking to improve the land base, while trying not to rely on too many mana rocks.

Their is lots of twisted control, while waiting to go infinite mana into a fireball effect, or infinite mana creating infinite copy’s of almost any instant or sorcery spell in the deck. Death and scoops.

A typical win looks like this:

Step 1: Cast Mizzix

Step 2: Get 3-4 expierience counters as fast as possible. Don’t care how.

Step 3: Infinite mana= Reiterate + a mana producing spell, or an untap permanents spell (to untap your lands).

Step 4: Damage spell + Copy spell (sometimes multiple). Then repeat.

Use the infinite mana on Fireball effects, kill everyone

or

Use the infinite Reiterate on all sorts of shenanigans, essentially making everyone scoop

There are other combos, throughout the deck, that I’m constantly finding.

Party card = Firemind's Foresight. Use it to grab Reiterate, Reality Spasm, and Whispers of the Muse (even Mystical Tutor will work, if you already have a draw spell). At that point, all you need is 4 mana and 3 expierience counters, and you can draw out your deck and play any spell. To make it quicker, just grab Lightning Bolt instead of Whispers of the Muse, same effect, death to all.
