The purpose of this deck is to break/abuse Battlefield Thaumaturge. Once he's tutored out, you can "combo" by casting big X spells for almost nothing, and reducing the cost of many other spells with multiple targets like Eerie Interlude.

The other "theme" of the deck is tapping/untapping. Tapping down opponent's creatures and locking them out with Stoic Angel or Sunblast Angel, or generating huge mana with Quest for Renewal, Kruphix, God of Horizons, and Cryptolith Rite.
