Judge, Jury, Staxicutioner - Augustin Stax EDH

Commander / EDH Control Pillow Fort Stax WU (Azorius)

Austin_Smith_of_Cards

I was once an innocent Timmy just like you. I played green, ramped and played my fatties, and won games the traditional way. Until the control players killed all my stuff and picked apart my life total. Seeing this newfound power, I built a pillow-fort style control deck with counterspells and spot removal, but kept the big creatures to win games. It was strong and difficult to play against, but not impossible to beat.

I have grown bored of traditional control. I want a challenge. I want to play a decklist with a high power level that requires careful management of my resources while slowly draining my opponents' will to live. I have moved away from my traditional, political pillow-fort deck, and have built a Stax list with one of the most miserable cards in its 99; Grand Arbiter Augustin IV.

Of the three tenants of Stax (sac, tax, tap), I will primarily be focusing on taxing and tapping, because I want to pay at least slight homage to my previous build. I don't care what you have on your board if you can't do anything with it.

Currently still has a lot of pillow-fort-esque pieces left over, as I still have to acquire a lot of the staple Stax pieces.
