Maybeboard

I remember when I first saw this guy, I was playing Yugioh at the time, but I remembered Magic well enough that this seemed like a potentially very good card, even with my Yugioh tuned (tooned?) senses (what, it's worse Cyber Jar that doesn't barf up a new board? BAD CARD!!). Well, it's been largely sitting around the entire time since, but as a burly guy I thought why not build the burly guy Himself! it helps that I have a great fondness for a well timed wipe, and this is not only a Wipe that Walks, it's an INSTANT SPEED Wrath that can crush an Eldrazi to it's meaty bosom (and he can also take out those dang squirrels at the SAME TIME!). Since I got this guy back when I was into Yugioh, I'm thinking I'll use my old Yugioh gag (from when I'd play Solemn Judgement), I'd do the 'Caesar's Thumb' thing, and if I Wrath they get the bad one (I threw in a raspberry when I played yugioh, to really highlight the solemnity of the judgement).

This deck leans hard into ramp to be able to recast Mageta, ATM I'm light on land ramp because I might sneak in Armageddon, and possibly other similar horrors, but atm the deck isn't tuned enough for Bracket 4 (no real testing yet so I'm talking out my butt). The deck uses Voltron to actually win the game, and Vigilance so I can wipe on the end step before my turn (a totally healthy play pattern because it's neither Stax nor a Game Changer! I swear!). FWIW with Vigilance I can also attack and then wipe before they can declare blockers, so it's also like 2WW for almost unblockable. So ATM I guess I COULD argue this is a Bracket 1, but I'm pretty sure I'd never be heard from again, so I can't see how it's less than a 2 (and vs most 2s this will be Archenemy). Testing suggests the deck would attract attention, so I've added Swiftfoot Boots. I'm not sure if there actually is enough cards that do what I want (protect Mageta at Instant speed), hence the heavy ramp presence (including some bigger ramp effects).

...Wouldn't you know it, I just put this together, and I only have 1 box of sleeves left! They are in fact the Verdict sleeves, from Remy! How unbelievably appropriate, because this is ALSO an almost uncounterable Wipe! Hooray! This just made me wonder how evil it would be to add Rule of Law, imagine resolving Armageddon with a Rule and Mageta out (with Voltron gear!), such a good time for everyone!

Updates Add

I'm planning to add Land Tax, Tarrian's Soulcleaver, and Brave the Sands to the list. I'm thinking of pulling Axis, Mace, and a Plains. Is 37 lands enough lands? I feel like it is, but I technically haven't run the numbers on this deck yet, mostly because I normally worry more about fixing than total mana, I find it much easier to sort out that part than fixing, which I find much less intuitive (and thus need a trusty hypergeometric calculator, among other calculators).

Edit: Well, 'finally' got in the 3 cards, switching out the ones I mentioned above. The only one I'm uncertain about is Axis, that's a very strong effect potentially.

Edit: In went Command Beacon, this guy is a bit of a removal magnet, thankfully most people aren't on Oubliette effects!

Edit: Since Mr Lion can clear the board pretty reliably, maybe Luminarch Ascension?

Edit: Finally got around to updating the lands a bit, I may put Lotus Vale in here for now, but it might go into my Landfall deck, where it'd be a truly bangin' combo piece (I think I could technically combo off a turn earlier with it). In here it's just yet another way to shrink my land count, so it's really not doing much in here.

Edit: Should I switch out Aerial Extortionist for Scavenged Brawler? I do like the removal aspect of Extortionist, but it's not REALLY removal, and it's too much mana if you're just using it as Bounce. In contrast Brawler makes Mageta into a 3 turn clock if he's unanswered, gives him all important Vigilance, and grants Flying so I might not need to wipe to get in vs someone, which can be politically useful.

Edit: Went ahead and switched em up, Brawler can just end games while Extortionist is derping about.
