Misc. Notes:

Gameplan:

Our gameplan is to 1) Vomit our hand, which should be mana rocks and combo pieces, 2) Cast Kozilek, refilling our hand, 3) Hopefully hit one of our tutors in the process, 4) Assemble a combo based on what we have on board/in hand, 5) Win.

Once we get infinite mana, it's generally easy to win. We need to either draw our deck or get infinite tutors, and then we either use the Myr Turbine/Dross Scorpion/Blasting Station combo to deal infinite damage, or we get a lot of creatures in play by A) playing every artifact creature in our deck, B) animating all our permanents with Karn, Silver Golem and Mycosynth Lattice, or C) making infinite Pentavites with Pentavus and Rings of Brighthearth. Then, we use the Pentavus/Dross Scorpion/Steel Overseer/Krark-Clan Ironworks combo to pump them all infinitely, drop Akroma's Memorial, and beat down.

Card Notes:

By far the most important cards in the deck are the tutors that let you assemble your combos: Planar Bridge, Kuldotha Forgemaster, Ring of Three Wishes, Planar Portal, Skyship Weatherlight, Inventors' Fair, and Citanul Flute, in order of strength (in general).

Citanul Flute is our worst tutor. Even though we do have a lot of artifact creature combo pieces, no combo contains just artifact creatures. That said, we can tutor Kuldotha Forgemaster using the flute, which is very helpful.

With Skyship Weatherlight and Ring of Three Wishes, it is often correct to just tutor out a Planar Bridge.

Clock of Omens is arguably the best (non-tutor) card in the deck. It turns our static-effect artifacts like Krark-Clan Ironworks, Darksteel Forge, and Flayer Husk into mana, and it lets us reuse our tutors. It also gives used-up/useless artifacts like Expedition Map, Wayfarer's Bauble, and empty Skyship Weatherlights a purpose.

Conduit of Ruin's only tutor target is Pentavus, but it's a part of a lot of good combos, so I feel that the Conduit is worth running.

Expedition Map often gets Inventors' Fair, but Ancient Tomb/Temple of the False God are good if you still need mana.

Tutoring out Darksteel Forge as soon as possible is a good insurance policy.

Winning without casting Kozilek is possible, but rare and difficult. Unless you have an infinite mana combo AND a tutor in hand, it's usually best to cast Koz.

Silent Arbiter is included for the worst-case beatdown scenario, but it's also both a Ghostly Prison-type effect and a lightning rod.
