This is a non-combo EDH deck. I was attempting to solve the problem of how not to die, while also applying a ton of pressure. Kaalia seemed a natural fit for the Punisher archetype. The creatures she finds are decent lock pieces on their own. There are various anti-synergies in the deck but they are all very worth it. Really the concoction wants more cheap tutors.
