Nearly two months ago I moved to a small village near Lake Zhava. Small quiet town, not many villagers. That's when I heard the call, of the Great Gitrog Monster of Lake Zhava. ALL HAIL THE GITROG MONSTER!!!

First off I have to say that this deck is both fun and mean. I am new to commander, trying to find something to hook me into it, that's when I saw a couple decklists for one of my favorite (SOI) cards The Gitrog Monster. I have played this deck against several really good veteran players and stomped over them. One guy jokingly called me a jerk. There are of course a ton of similarities to other Gitrog decks on here, But I've put in a few things of my own to change it up.

One of the best combo's in the deck is of course the use of one of the most broken cards in this type of deck Dakmor Salvage. Biggest win combo is, with Gitrog on the field, Dakmor Salvage + Skirge Familiar + Syphon Life. Raven's Crime is also a plus to empty your opponents hand to make it more difficult for them to mess up your plans. Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre are a must for this deck, so it's not entirely budget. I haven't ever cast Kozilek, I mainly use him to keep from milling myself. While it's a mean and beautiful combo, I wanted to make sure there were several other ways to win. One of my favorites is Pathbreaker Ibex or Overwhelming Stampede. There are several ways to make your creatures big, and fill the battlefield with creatures. I once took out all my opponents by sending over 200 damage to each with trample.

With Eldritch Moon having just been released, Splendid Reclamation was a must. fill your grave yard with your lands, then bring them back to trigger your landfall effects, especially Ob Nixilis, the Fallen to deal a lot of damage.

I almost feel guilty for playing this deck sometimes. I have rarely lost with this deck. I built it with so many different win combos.
