Scorpion God, -1/-1 counters, hard control. There is an infinite combo with Nest of Scarabs, Blowfly Infestation, and the commander to draw the deck. Using the rituals and Elixir of Immortality, you can generate infinite storm and mana in both black and red to cast Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate with counter spell backup. Otherwise just lock down the board with sweeping board wipes and picking off the little guys with your commander. In addition there is a desert value package primarily centered around the use of Scavenger Grounds and Ifnir Deadlands.
