I've decided to remove 3 Glassblower's Puzzleknot in exchange for to fill the playset of Servant of the Conduit, a Chandra, Torch of Defiance, and an extra Harnessed Lightning. Mana redistribution.

Swapped commanders, so I'm using Iroas instead of Tajic. I found Iroas ability much more beneficial for the majority of soldiers in this deck than Tajic.

Removed cards:
Relic Seeker : Not important to find equipment
Unified Strike : Single target removal not too good for me, since I play EDH in a multiplayer environment.
Shield of the Avatar : Not really benefitting my deck.

Added:
Aurelia, the Warleader : This one is awesome with Iroa, since all my soldiers will be indestructable because of Iroas, so I can swing with all of them twice.
Cathars' Crusade : Will drop alot of soldiers, so this card can make my army big fast.
Skullclamp : Added card draw.

Multi-player Shenanigans

WOW. It's amazing how things can happen so quickly sometimes. It helps when I get a couple extra turns through Time Warp, Deploy the Gatewatch into Sorin and Jace AoT with a Doubling Season on the table woot.

The deck worked great against multiple people. I ended up with a Mana Crypt, Sylvan Library, and rystic study in my opening hand, as well as Tezerret the Seeker so things got crazy pretty quickly. I let my first round of walkers get burned so that I could draw less hate, but clearly was the table leader even though no one had any idea how bad it would get nor how quickly.

Awakening Zone was a great little token producer but I am seriously jonesing for Bitterblossom. Getting flyers is worth the damage.

Second game was won by the Nekkusar wheel and deal deck. My reliance on enchantments/artifacts made it hard for me to do a total board wipe of the two so suggestions for cards that destroy (or better yet exile) everyone else's things would be helpful. I have 4 colors here so I feel like there has to be an answer.

Thanks to everyone for supporting this deck! It wasn't too long ago that this was red black, using clunky red land desruction! Oh the memories. Anyway, thanks to everyone!

Finally played this deck in an actual magic tournament! It did decently, but I definitely need to make some changes.

ROUND ONE Thing in the Ice  Flip based deck. First game, I basically just got steamrolled. Second game I sideboarded in Visions of Brutality and Fumigate. I was able to slow the other deck down a bit, but still was killed before I could really start gaining/draining. Both games I kept only drawing either plains or swamps, which made it hard to actually get anything out.

ROUND TWO Aggro green/black delirium deck. First game I got mana flooded again and couldn't really get anything out. Second game actually went extremely well. I put a Visions of Brutality on their biggest swinger, which slowed them down enough for me to have Authority of the Consuls, Cliffhaven Vampire, and Drana's Emissary all out at the same time, which let me win fairly easily. Third game was extremely close, but they managed to kill me first.

ROUND THREE I wound up conceding halfway through the first game because draft was starting and it was going EXTREMELY slowly on both sides.

The main thing I've found is that I need more ways to slow the other side down so I can get my cards out. I think I also need more dual colored lands and some Evolving Wilds to help with getting the colors I need. I'm going to have Fumigate permanently in and sideboard Fragmentize since lots of creatures came up way more than artifacts/enchantments did.

Sideboard

2RRR_Mirror_Breaker, 7 years ago

Added a sideboard which allows us to morph into a pure control deck in matchups where the combo isn't particularly good and we want either more control cards like Baral, Chief of Compliance and the counterspells or when we fight pure aggro decks and need more Immolating Glare and Blessed Alliance

Game play 1/7

MTGApprentice2016, 7 years ago

Deck preformed as expected if not better. Did not win either game played but did achieve a 66.67% success rate with 2 players out of 3 possible for each of the two games defeated. This was mostly done with Artisan of Kozilek and Mage Slayer. In one game, one player that I am counting as having defeating in reality lost to Nekusar, the Mindrazer's trigger as they drew cards off of a Harvester of Souls which died along with four other creatures to my Artisan when he blocked as he forgot that Harvester's text said may draw a card.

Removed the Tenacious Dead, too slow. Bloodghast and Nether Traitor can both work strictly better in most games.

Removed Qarsi High Priest and Blazing Hellhound, in favor of Bloodthrone Vampire and a Carrion Feeder, cheaper sources of sacrifice.

Ruthless Ripper, Jeering Instigator and Sultai Emissary just aren't needed anymore. Instead, more removal was added, with Lightning Bolt, Fling and more copies of Act of Treason and Harness by Force.

There are less different cards, and the most important ones are there 4 times. The land count has shifted a bit more towards red, however the first turns still require a lot of swamps. Westvale Abbey  Flip has been added to the deck, in case a huge body is needed to win the game.

The goal of the deck is now mostly to keep board and card advantage, and having multiple creatures that can be buffed multiple times for a cheap cost when it's time to trade or burst the opponent.

Waiting for Aether Revolt

Aleboth93, 7 years ago

This will be the changes after Aether Revolt is out: +2 Solemn Recruit, +2 Gifted Aetherborn, +1 Glint-Sleeve Siphoner (for menace and the draw engine, only one copy because I dont want more than one of her on the field)

Awsome artifacts

MagicTheGathering_Dragon_Raid, 7 years ago

well this deck is pure awsome. if you go first play and get a perfect hand play all your 0 mana drops. by turn 4 u shoukd have 2 artifact mana. tapp them play a card called crainial plating then wait one mroe turn and attack for at most 6 9/9 if both land are artifact land. Epic right?? I think i said everything right lol idk? GL HF with your new deck

Another change....

I see the connection with Endless One and Aetherborn Marauder. How does this work? Or should I try a more "aggro-ish" approach with the Aether Poisoner?

Smoothed Mana Curve

Orain, 7 years ago

Added Jaddi Offshoot and Sakura-Tribe Scout.

Moved all enchantments to the maybe board, can pull them out if the deck can afford to go slower, maybe some of them belong in the sideboard? Retreat to Kazandu Retreat to Hagra Khalni Heart Expedition

Removed Search for Tomorrow as I was already pulling out enough lands, and it's not worth the single drop for 3 mana or waiting two turns, so neither option was paying off particularly well. In a landfall deck I am increasingly valuing instant speed land pulls because I want instant speed landfall effects.

See archive for comments leading up to these decisions.

Removed: Krosan Grip

Added: Riftsweeper

Notes: For the time being, have put Riftsweeper in to ensure that my Palinchron can never be permanently dealt with. May change in the future.

Paradox Engine and Stax

The new card Paradox Engine ties the deck up pretty nicely:
