MTGApprentice2016 Deckling

PartyJ I quite liked your deck. I'll have to examine it further when I'm not as busy but from the look of it, it does seem like it is quite the fun deck to play.

I have spread the upvotes, as you run quite some nice deck indeed. I noted them down for a reminder as a next project.

Playing the captain is pretty fun and it's pretty brutal in a aggresive meta as well. Upvote is always nice.

Cheers!

PartyJ No one in our group currently runs a Captain Sisay deck. Honestly, I don't think that anyone has even thought of doing so. My favorite deck has been #XenagosLives followed closely by For they have sown the wind.... Of all of my decks, Daretti's Scrapyard is the most consistent deck, but it is a bit of a Rube Goldberg machine and better for early in the evening when the brain functions better. Sadly, Xenagos is soon to be replaced with my deck Partners in Crime as I need the mana base. My meta is fairly competitive and all go for the throat more often than not. But, that's what happens when you've known the people you play with since middle school.

Hi,

I see you like to play EDH.

You got any experience with a Captain Sisay yourself or in your local meta? I prefer to hear someone elses experiences and/or opinions.

Got a favorite commander yourself? This is mine.

Cheers,

PJ

This seems like a fun deck to run. I'm personally a fan of reanimator decks in EDH. I've never seen this commander do well though sadly. My play group runs a lot of grave hate. The suggestions that I have for you are Fleshbag Marauder and/or Merciless Executioner as well as Impact Tremors. You're running a lot of ETB effects or death effects. With your Commander's ability, you might as well abuse them to the max. I've personally won games by having either Fleshbag or Merciless on the table and just recurring it. Blade of Selves attached to one is also amusing. Also, why aren't you running Gray Merchant of Asphodel? That seems like it would be close to an auto-includ for this deck.

Nature's Will can lead to some decent pseudo ramp for your secondary main phase. Primal Growth is good for a token build as well. I'd also consider Wood Elves as it can search out any forest and Yavimaya Elder which gets you a couple of lands in hand and draws a card. I'm only suggesting the creatures because I see your running Burgeoning and Oracle of Mul Daya which, let you drop another land on your turn. Another creature to consider is Azusa, Lost but Seeking which also lets you drop more land per turn.
